Thanks, Tommy! It was built in January, 1981, and sold new through FAF, and it was completely off the radar until it showed up on eBay back in February, 2008 - and, of course, by then, it was Rosso Corsa. How unfortunate - but I'm thrilled that you not only kept record of the VIN, but that you also kept the photograph. A period photograph of a rare color, in which this car is no longer liveried. Thank you.

It was BIG time on my radar when I was a teenager :D

BTW, FAF had a picture of it in the bathroom for the longest. I have no idea why but Harold told me that years ago.

I swore that I would never do this, but I have no choice.

I am 76, and on SSI. My business is going South, and I can't make my house payment.

Three years ago I had to sell my Cessna 170, now it's my baby's turn.

We have sorted all known problems, only thing next is belts.

A few rust bubbles on bottom of pass door. 93K mi

Driver side seat bead worn out on bolster, rest of interior very good.

Good paint, no body issues, no dents or dings, good bumpers and targa.

New radiator, and battery. New water pump, and starter rebuild.

New swaybar bushes, and tires, BFG, and clutch.

New SS muffler, and cats. Passed smog last Dec. Starts and runs great.

My mechanic is Joe Huel owner of Autohaus Stebel, El Cajon, CA 619-444-1115.

Check out his website. Time is short, so any offers will be considered.

Sorry guys, but this is very difficult for me.

To see a pix, go to my thread (80 to 82 308 registry)

    Sadly

    Thank you.

I just love a simple classic red tan GTSi (black a-pillars and no hood vent or black painted fender vents).

That's how I remember first seeing them when I was 13

It was when I got it, still on it in the 2014 pic, but it had been dyed that color. I found a NOS black one which is what I have on it now. I still have the other one.
