Hello Spend a lot of time reading f-chat, not a lot of time writing on f-chat. I'm a Porsche guy, looking to become a Ferrari guy as well. Really looking for a vintage Ferrari, 275GTB/2 shortnose would about do it for me. 250GT SWB or 250 LWB TdF would totally do it for me. My favorite thread is the 'more old photos':https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vintage-thru-365-gtc4-sponsored-vintage-driving-machines/89883-more-old-photos.html. Love it! Hi All, I'm Sachary, and come from Europe. I live in several different countries here, mainly in Germany, Austria and Spain. I'm an ex-355 owner but getting back in the game again and am now looking for a manual 612. I'm an entrepreneur and currently involved in several online gaming sites, real estates and more. If you want to chat, please shoot me a private message! Thanks!
As long as I can remember the prancing horse was in the house, either because dad studied in Italy and followed F1 avidly or just because we men are all fascinated by it. I have visited the museum and the factory as well as Monza circuit. No Ferrari or real sport car ownership for that matter, though flirting with the idea of buying a classic. Don't know if I will end up pouring money to a bottomless pit though as child is about to go to school and second might be on the way.
Cav from New Zealand. Currently in an E92 M3 - hopefully Ferrari within 2-3 years. I'm thinking a Scud or 458
I've been reading and enjoying FC for a long time and finally realized I should introduce myself. Not that anyone here will be interested, but what the hell. I'm an Alfa addict although I may have recovered. Too soon to tell for sure. I'll never own a Ferrari (except for diecast) but when it comes to cars there is no more compelling brand. My favorite forum is the vintage forum, and some of the threads there have had all of the drama and suspense of a good novel. So ... Thanks for this entertaining and educational place on the web. George.
Just love the F cars. Never driven one. Saw a guy in scrubs come in the King Street Grill over at the North Woods Mall. Thought either a nurse or a doctor. Later in the parking lot we were leaving in our MB convertible (sorry) and this same guy was fussing over this incredible flat black cabrio. I told Lynnie to pull up next to him and I said "just want to hear you fire it up". He smiled and told us that it had a formula one engine in it. Well the sound it made was just fantastic, as he graciously revved the shnikes out of it. The shreaking 12 filled the air and echoed off the surrounding buildings. All I could do was applaud - no idea what it was - never seen one like that - it was obviously brand new. That guy was obviously a doctor too! Here's something nice to watch if you havent seen it. Cheers, http://www.youtube.com/watch_popupv=1_kwxzU4wL4&vq=medium
lurker - 6sp 535i, 300ZX hardtop, and few motorcycles. Just a big FCar enthusiast my whole life...keep hesitating on pulling any triggers since the 360s are losing so much appeal to me now that they're coming down in price and you find young ****ty bar owners and other types of dorks picking them up...I'll find the right car for me though.
Hello New to this forum....own and enjoy a 1998 Acura Nsx S/C. Joined to keep in touch with the Auto world.
I am new to this forum. My name is Corry, I have alot to learn from the great community on this forum and hope to meet many of you in person as we celebrate the fine cars of Ferrari together. I can appreciate the NSX as my "gateway drug". After owning three of them in different configurations I took the leap into Ferrari with a 1991 Testarossa then up to 512TR and also 308 GTS and realized the dream I had since childhood watching Miami Vice, Magnum P.I. etc. I am confident in urging anyone that is passionate about These works of Italian Art to do the same!
Hi. I'm Brian, and my friend Casudi pointed me here years ago. Been lurking ever since. I think every gearhead appreciates Ferrari and lusts over one or more models, though most of us (outside this community) will never have the privilege of owning one. Still, the lessons learned turning wrenches on other makes make the dream of Ferrari ownership, particularly of older models, a bit less intimidating. I'm a Mitsubishi man, personally, having cut my teeth on inexpensive, Japanese machines, from an Eagle Talon (Mitsubishi Eclipse) which taught me the joys of engine building, to a pair of limited edition Galant VR4s, to my current daily, a spray painted, 1989 Pajero. This 100hp, riding mower with a windshield takes me anywhere, and reminds me how the automobile truly is freedom; to go where we want, in our own personal style, wherever the road (or trail) leads. As some of the older Ferraris depreciate to more pedestrian levels (you could probably pick up a pair of 308s for what a new Tahoe costs fully loaded), I'm here looking for someone to interview who finally made his or her Ferrari dream a reality, hoping to share a story inspiring others to double down and follow suit in Gearbox Magazine. I have the utmost in respect for this community, its members, and operators. I might not always be around, but I can think of no other place to source Ferrari tech and community. GordonC, if you don't get a PM from me soon, I'd love to bend your ear. Really enjoyed reading your posts this evening in Phoenix. Go fast with class, and press on regardless.
Hey DR1665, Drop a line if I can help. I am just an average guy who did just that and made my dream of Ferrari ownership come true. PDG
I have been looking and reading lots of information on Ferrari Chat, and feel I have learned a lot. I have also spent some time t Ferrari of Washington, and was impressed with the sales and service people there. Recently purchased a 2010 599 GTB and love the car. Live in Northern Virginia. Hi all! I'm new to the ferrari world and would like to say "hi" to everyone! I live in hawaii and had the chance to buy a 328. Passed on it only for the reason that....Hawaii is deadly to cars: sun, salt, rental cars, tourists, inexperienced drivers (visitors), and terrible roads. Yep, almost had the "Magnum P.I." experience, but I've lived here long enough to know the difference. Regardless, I love ferraris and plan on getting one when I get off this rock! Best regards, BJ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Actually, I'd like to try the wheeler dealer thing and buy/sell cars until I have enough to buy a ferrari straight out. I think it would take a while but I have confidence I can do it. Anyone else tried that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hello to all! Been lurking in the weeds for almost a year. A friend got me interested in the F thing. Was looking for ways to make friends in my region, where it is challenging to find contemporaries with similar taste and interests. Looking to purchase a OTO 612 as I have two precocious girls, 6 and 4, and a working wife that likes "family time". Can't wrap my head around the looks of the FF, but it is slowly growing on me... 612 seems to fit the bill now while the girls are young; the F12 will have to wait (for prices to drop, and the girls to get tired of mom and dad). Have really enjoyed all the posts, the banter, the level of class at which this chatroom is moderated, and the wealth of information found here. Headed to the F1 race in Austin in a few short weeks, hope to meet some of you there.
I've been lurking around here for years. So much great information and advice. Helped me ask the right questions, find a great mechanic, and find the right first Ferrari for me. Just took delivery on a 1980 308 GTS. I'm the third owner and she's in great shape. She's labeled "GTS" but she is injected (not sure what was going on in Maranello that day). Started going thru the basics on it to get it well sorted but it runs and drives great. I'm sure I'll have a million questions, so thanks for all the help all of you have already provided and thanks in advance for all the patience with all the questions to come. Looking forward to it!
Hello, I hope for fast help and answers! I need to know each serial number of the 39 built 250 GTO untill tomorrow morning. I found only 33 but I need all. There is a book in which all are available, but too expensive and too little time to order. "Ferrari 250 GTO - The History of a Legend". Do anyone know all 39 or know where I can find them? Thank you in advance.
Why the rush? There are several sources: http://www.barchetta.cc/all.ferraris/by-serial-number/ferrari-by-serial-number/model-index-60-64/model-summary/250-gto-index/index.html http://jalopnik.com/5974535/here-is-a-list-of-all-the-people-that-own-ferrari-250-gtos
I'm more of a weird case. My business is cell phone cases and the hottest selling items tend to be Ferrari, BMW, and Aston Martin cases for iPhone 5s, 6, and 6 plus. So I just decided to do a bit of research and ended up here. God bless the internet.
Hi. I'm a big fan of all kinds of cars. Found this site and decided to learn from the wealth of knowledge here. And to look at the pretty pictures. I live and work in downtown DC, so unfortunately it doesn't make sense for me to have a nice car.
