Hello, just some thoughts about the interior of the Jarama (not Jarama S this time): -there are so many different colors (modern cars do not offer this variety of colors) -which color do you prefer (I numbered the photos from 1 to 6)? -do you prefer patina of high quality restauration? I love the interior of the Jarama Olaf Image Unavailable, Please Login
Olaf, you are a connoisseur... senape interior is great ! are you finally coming in Italy the 10 & 11 May ?
I like them all but black would be my last choice. But in all reality, accept which ever color comes up for sale.
>>>> Italy the 10 & 11 May unfortunately this is the same weekend as the Formula 1 historique in Monaco, an event I don't want to miss since twelve years
For the last 30 years, I have never heard of it and believe me I'm still chasing it... my assumption is, it was sold to a Saudi Arabia customer and we won't see it before a long time !
Hello every one, Just listed for sale, a really nice Jarama, fresh clutch, transmission, entire braking system, including calipers, boosters, fresh motor service, master cylinder, fresh rebuilt exhaust, fresh rodded radiator, and the former owner said " make everything work" ! A truly great car, and see it at Bobileff Motorcar Company * Ferrari Service & Restoration * Lamborghini Service & Restoration * Maserati Service & Restoration in the sales section. Definitely the right colors, Bordeaux with tan! Gary Bobileff
hmmmm, 235/60-15's on it. Not correct sizing, 215/70-15. BUT thank you, now I know I have another option in sizing besides the 215 and 225's I've been looking for. Either that Pirelli or the 235/70-15 Avon Turbosteel.
IT IS FAST! Chad took me for a quick ride and scared the crap out of me. This car pulls so hard, harder than my Countach. Sunk me into the seat. Even the wood from the steering wheel center got pulled off! This is not normal power for these V-12. Chad agrees, very fast. Faster than the Jarama he had. Spun the tires in all the gears...maybe up to 3rd. I was too scared to notice if we hit 4th! lol Olivier, did they make any so called "special" Jarama's?
No real history. It was owned by the owner of a dealership where I bought it in SC but the papers said he got it from a garage in New Hampshire.
Not 100% sure if it is the same car, but it looks like the one that was owned by a college professor who taught at Northern Essex Community College in the 80s. He used to park it in the student lot because he said the students were more respectful of it than the other faculty members. He could have lived in NH or it could have been sold to someone in NH since Haverhill Ma borders NH.
It maybe OR it maybe the car I tried to by before this one. That was in the Boston area, blk/tan. It sold on ebay for 13k with a bad distributor to Art O. and shipped to Fla. That was owned by a kid who knew nothing about these cars and could not afford to fix it. But prior it was owned by a Dr, possibly a Prof. That is posted here and/or on Lpower.
They are not wider but I think they are a little different than the front. It's been a few years since I've looked at them closely!
Peter, sorry to disapoint you, exception of Bob Wallace special Jarama, to my knowledge with the informations in my possession or I had the chance to consult, none got special factory engine. Some years ago, Harry Van Bakel offered me one of his Jarama, #10684 GTS, one of the 5 last produced. It appears it has a more powerfull engine than the others, I drove it, it was very fast, but Harry was never able to prove me it was factory tuned. I believe tuning was done later, as it was confirmed by current owner who had the engine rebuilt thus openned... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Then I wonder of the intake and exhaust '"racing" valves from Jacques at Maseratisource.com is what is making the difference. LAMBORGHINI 350 400 MIURA ESPADA ISLERO JARAMA RACING FORGED STAINLESS STEEL 21-4N ENGINE VALVES
Well, I know about Islero #6300 that I found in Belgium some years ago was factory fitted with more powerfull engine specially built for Edmondo Lamborghini ! Actually, it is for sale since Edouard's children are bigger... I bought one set from Jacques some years ago... they will be fitted in my Islero Le Mans, one day...
The material used in the valves isn't going to increase performance Peter but I guess you have at least a valve job or what all did Chad do to the car? He may have tuned it very well as compared to most other cars.
