    I just dropped off my 1995 348 spider for the engine out major service @ the Jag Shop in Portland, OR. Craig (owner) is the ex-master Ferrari mechanic for Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo & the recently passed Ron Tonkin's private mechanic for his stable/fleet of Ferrari's. I am really looking forward to having my baby back & ready for spirited driving on the twisty back roads. The best part of using an independent service shop with a Ferrari trained master mechanic is the ability to use the Hill Engineering tensioner bearings, installed by an actual Ferrari professional. OEM bearings are just poor quality/design.

    Good news! I'm hoping mine got the same. It sounds like it got new exhaust ecus (mpcus?) from the late model and 355 systems (from the mechanic). Wheel bearings were fine but I haven't talked to the boss yet. Should also have newly painted yellow calipers. ;) It's not concourse ready anyway and at least one of the boring black ones were chipped. It was sleeting today as well. Waiting for road test.

    I have not taken any pics at Craig's shop yet. Maybe stop by Wednesday for a look/review. Also having the engine "bonnet" insulation replaced to finish the cosmetic needs also.

    LOL! :) Now I wonder about my parts. I got A Ferrari pulley and he didn't say anything about Hill. I should have mentioned it.
