My Porsche service advisor had my CPO '06 Cayenne TTS in for a new AC compressor, free of charge (yay), and did some comparisons with his detail shop against new cars of the same color, other cars with the coating they use. They came out convinced, I mean absolutely certain and telling me how it is, period, that as good as my detailer is, the product was the best they'd ever seen.

I have used 22PLE and it works well. I think there is a little confusion with a member here as to what it will do for your car. What it does is give you a final top coat much the same as wax but instead of needing to be reapplied often, 22PLE will last 12 months or longer. I have black cars and 22PLE has saved me countless hours of continuous waxing. It does prevent fine swirls as it is a hard surface and hardness is defined as a measure of resistance to penetration. The only negative I have had with it was some etching of water spots in the winter.

What, the truck or the detailing :D The guys at Penske Tysons LOVED her. I had another Cayenne TTS I traded in on the Maser last year and instantly regretted it. It needed some work, brakes and tires primarily, but also needed about $3k in expected failures, coolant pipes and cardan shaft. So I let her go, seller's remorse, started searching for another. I found this one with new brakes, new tires, new coolant pipes, still under CPO, with about $10k in options mine didn't have that really matter, picked her up for $2500 more than I got on my trade in. Even after shipping, property tax and detailing, I came out way ahead.

I'd have completely agreed and left it at that a week ago, but the Penske boys evaluating the fresh DJ Mayo detailing and 22PLE application right next to brand new identical paint with and without their in house products. They came to the conclusion the car looked better than new, and better than they could make it look with what they had on hand. Maybe not by a whole lot, difference of 98 or 99% and 100% maybe, but it was noticeable and unanimous.

And I LOVE that I don't have to wax the damn cars every couple of weeks. LOVE IT. Especially the wife's SUV. Sucker is HUGE. She has that metallic brown as well that would look bloody awful with swirls. Sealed it when it was new two years ago and it's still looking good. Need to do it again though this year though I suppose.

Weird. The 22ple bottle says cures in a few days. I actually think the finish is better more intense a few days later that it was right after completed application. It is more candy shell-like. Amazing stuff.

I wouldn't want to try some bottle of polymer that was manufactured in the 70's whether your impressed with it or not.

Once again, marketing is a success. Name a couple of "Pro's " that endorse the product and all of a sudden people see Jesus walking on water.

I have proof; I did a full paint correction (using products bought from Todd, a sponsor) with fantastic results! (Thanks Todd). Then I applied 22PLE and the gloss, deepness, whatever you wish to call it, was ZERO better or different. No resistance to swirls. Yes, likely resistant to stuff sticking to the paint.

If you think the gloss is "deeper", I think you are caught up in the hype.

With all due respect, I 'm providing honest feedback, nothing more, nothing less.

Your reply make no sense...might want to revise. It's supposed to be better after a few days which is what you say.

Awww ****, Dave. I had the Porsche service team at Penske automotive last week do a side by side comparison and they proved to their own satisfaction it was the poduct, not the detailer. And they'd never heard of 22ple. It's not a million gazillion times better than anything else ever ever. It just edges out the products they were using, which I assume are pretty good. It isn't all hype. We're not all bought off. I happen to like my detailer a lot and was arguing with Penske that it was my detailer, not the product and they told me they thought he did a good job but the product was the difference, between their brand new vehicle in the same color and my nine year old vehicle which looked better.

Be that as it may though, without DJ Mayo's incredible job restoring the paint on my Porsche, the side by side would have been impossible. He's a great detailer.

Then try a modern coating like 22ple and I'm sure you will be impressed, just don't use your great grandfathers can of Simoniz to correct the paint! LOL!

we average about one full correction a week and have tried all the modern coatings, they don't seem to impact a proper paint correction..have to agree with Dave
