Glad you had a good trip. The authorities take around a year to send out fines overseas, but if you took it easy you should be fine. Yes, I'm in Emilia Romagna, between Modena and Maranello. The last two weeks have been mayhem with regard to the earthquakes. We have had well over 800 quakes since 19th May, a few have been heavy. Notably 2 last Tuesday around 5.8 (when Ferrari, Maserati and others evacuated and sent all employees home) and another one last night 5.1. The areas affected are approx 15Km to the NE of Modena. Industry around there has been totally decimated with many collapsed factories. There are several thousand who are evacuated. All schools in Modena region are now closed early for the rest of the academic year. The Duomo in Modena and many public buildings are closed until further notice, several hospitals are evacuated, it's a crisis in the affected area, no exaggeration. I'm one of the lucky ones, my house only has a few cosmetic cracks appeared. There are ~50 tremors/day of varying magnitude and if it carries on much longer I will rent a place a few 100km away and send my kids and wife away for the whole summer.
Legal = NOT AT ALL. Depending where you are it can be "socially acceptable". Particularly if you are south of Naples. Be aware that there are several thousand traffic light cameras now in use all over Italy and it is a major source of revenue. Traffic lights were one of the least repected rules of the road and it has been a huge money spinner. In the North nobody jumps the lights anymore. Bottom-line, watch the locals and do as they do. Have fun...
Molte grazie per il vostro aiuto And in English.....My apologies for not speaking Italian. I am new to the forum but I have a question. I want to buy a 612 Scaglietti from Italy. Can anybody recommend a person or a company that will make an appraisal of the condition of the car? There are two possibilities: one car is located in Rome one is located near Ravenna. Many thanks for your help.

Looking to get some history on my '84 QV 308. I sent an email with vin to the dealership a few weeks ago, but have received no response. I know my car came over to the US sometime around 1992. If anyone can help, or get me in touch with any records these guys have I would greatly appreciate it! (Serial# 51317) -Shane Busby

Hello Italian F-Chatters! I'm an Australian (but Swiss born) professional photographer that will be in Italy from June 2-11 this year (Siena, Rome, Amalfi Coast areas). I was wondering if anyone who owns something rare that we don't get in Australia (or don't have many of) would be interested in a (free) photoshoot? It would be cool to be able to shoot a Ferrari or Lamborghini in its home country! My website is Jan Glovac Photography to give you an idea of the quality of my work.
Hello Italian Ferrarichatters I am hoping one of you may have some good advice about collecting a debt in Italy. I sent some money to Italy from Australia last year for some parts that have not been sent. I have had lots of different stories but still nothing has happened. I am going to employ a debt collection agency in Italy to recover my money and I was looking for a recommendation. I want a good company that does not waste time. I know they all charge large fees but the legal company might pursue their costs with the seller. A friend in Italy suggested I go via the guardia di finanza first. Does this sound like a good idea? I have all of the details regarding the transaction including the bank details of the seller. Grazie from Australia Paul
