More of the red going to be used for the carpet? Red cloth inserts for black seats would be spectacular but probably not original I guess, for this Dino...

It is really amazing how fast you are able to put these back together once the body is done - I bet the factory in the day wasn't much quicker.

I received the engine which was rebuilt by Patrick Ottis. I was quite surprised at the cosmetics considering his reputation. NO WAY was that going in Eric's Dino, it would of stuck out like a sore thumb. I removed a lot of bits and pieces for plating, tumbling, powder coating and cleaning. Already looking much better!

I hope it didn't sound like I was saying anything bad about the rebuild as I know he does a fine job. I think there was some miscommunication between the owner and the shop as there was no discussion of cosmetics.

I always thought that it was a matter of fact that all assemblies and sub assemblies would be completely refurbished during an engine rebuild. I guess it's extra.

I wish someone would reproduce the clutch arm bellows in decent rubber. I have two that are splitting and they haven't even seen any action yet.

Seats are in, all the glass, all electrical checked, door panels tomorrow and reunited with it's engine next week! Reds don't photo well and hard to get the right color. The seats are a darker red, more like firewall.

Eric's car is now basically complete and the motor goes in next week. We improved upon the cosmetics of the engine to match the rest of the car. Everything that can be tested electrical wise has been tested and working (well not all the first time) but tweaking here and there as I check each item off. This car looks really good and I love the color being such a soft metallic. With a Patric Ottis motor rebuild the Dino should be about as good as they get. My dog Sarge guards all the Dino's! and he has especially taken a liking to this one.

Sarge looks incredibly comfortable there. I assume he's potty trained. Oh, that's right.....he's a Jack Russell, of course he is.:)

I didn't think I'd like silver, but it looks just beautiful on the car.
