Bob, I went with Prospeed Prestige(Evoflow) cats. I believe Brian Dinn is a sponsor on this site. I purchased them about 1.5 years ago at a very good price after a few other members recommended them. They looked to be of good quality. He used to run specials occasionally.

Hyperflow's have a great reputation, and a lot members were very pleased with them. I figured I take a chance on the ones that I purchased. I think you will be happy with your purchase.

Fabspeed is rebuilding the factory cats. I might have considered these if they were available. I like the idea of retaining the factory appearance.

I will relate that Troy thought if they were recoring they were using ceramic cores of which he is not a fan and there has been much discussion on here about ceramic cores and breaking up issues with them.

    Just a heads up.

Weather was crapoy here today but I wanted to change tranny oil and wanted to warm it up so I took a quick ride Jimmy. I would say yes. I have stick cats tubi muffler and now hyperflows. I would t say it's a huge change but more resonant ??

I would not recore mine if they were using ceramic cores due to the issues you just mentioned.

The weather isn't any better here either. Why do I live in the Northeast? I prefer the sound of the Tubi mufflers. I have read that the throttle response is supposed to be better with the high flow cats.

Thanks Evan. They did a very nice job. They are a stand up company just like the one you work for. Unfortunately not all companies are like that.:)

Hi Tim, the car was started for the first time last week. He ran the car last week for ~ 10 minutes without any glitches. I went over today to hear it run. John ran the car for ~ 20 minutes. The car seems a little louder and exhaust note is a little deeper. Just before he shut the car off I noticed an orange glow coming from the headers. Seems like a little fire started in the headers. John seemed to think it may have been some chemical on the steel when they were being built. The fire was put out very quickly. No damage was incurred.

As far as sound goes, it does seem a little louder and deeper, but the car was also run in his shop with the door closed and hi flow cats installed.

Sorry guys, I don't have any numbers for you.

Ernie, I didn't plan on putting the car on the dyno after the major service.

Oz, I didn't put the car on the dyno before I had them installed. If I did it now, there would be two variables that would skew the numbers.

Just an update. I have had the car back for 3 weeks since it major service. I have put about 130-140 miles. The car is a little louder and deeper at idle. As the rpm's increase it still has that F355 characteristic sound. It does seem to rev a little easier and pull a little harder. A friend of mine who had driven the car before, drove it again and thought that as well. As stated before, high flow cat's were added. The original OEM y-pipe and muffler were used.

Good news Jimmy. Has anyone else taken them up on their design?

Any codes or issues among those lines so far?

Summertine in the NE, time to put some miles down! 😜

Hi Bob, the design is OEM, 4-2-1. I just had them copy the factory headers with better materials and a slight increase in tube size, but would have been fine if the OEM size was kept the same. Also, keeping the headers shielded was an important issue for me.

I haven't had any CEL codes and I am hopefully not going to get any. From some of the posts that I have read, you can modify the 2.7 exhausts without some of the issues that the later cars might have due to the single O2 sensor, I believe.

I have been following your thread and have to say, You, Mitchell, JohnK, FBB, are doing some pretty good work troubleshooting and problem solving.
