I'd like to spend at max $60K.

My real goal is to get one around the low 50s, and have some money set a side immediately for problems....and then budget around $500 a month for any other problems.

I know this is thread is over a month old but I'm in the same boat too, save for I'm only looking for a GTB or GTS. Gated 6-speed only. Same max price.

I have a 98 355 spyder yellow/black 6speed, I am doing a full engine out service, new interior, new top. The car was neglected by its previous owner and I am bringing it back to life. Will be perfectly sorted when done with fresh major service

I'm looking at 360s instead now. It's hard to find a 355 , sorted out, for a good price. Too many issues for me right now.

I'd like to start with the 360 first.

I have a 1997 F355 spider for sale. 62k miles, major service completed 16 months ago at Ferrari of Seattle. All services up to date. Recent Michelin Pilot super sport tires. Capristo exhaust, Capristo exhaust valve, newer cats, radiator fans, recent QV London exhaust manifolds. Hill Engineering throw out bearing, Scurderia Rampante gold connector kit...tons of updates and upgrades, all while maintaining a stock appearance (has Yoshi thin fender shields). Always serviced at local dealer. Will try to post up here over the weekend.

The reasons it's hard to find a well sorted 355 for a "good" (i.e. cheap) price are that the guys who fully sort them also fully appreciate the car's driving characteristics and beauty, they have the money to fix their cars, and won't sell for peanuts because it REALLY IS that great of a car even though it's a bit pricey to run. Though not that fast by modern standards, it certainly feels VERY fast when you're out on the curves. Old school feel with modern performance, so perfect and scary!!

An "affordable" 360 might wind up costing you much more than a "high-priced" fully sorted 355... Roll your dice bro! Just don't be 10 years older still waffling about what Ferrari you should buy. I was 27 just like you when I got my 355, and it literally changed my life in a very, very, very beneficial way, both financially and personally. A really good book could be written, and it would be only about 10% car-related with lots of very juicy, gory details along the way, all due to my Ferrari F355 purchase.

Don't wait and be another sideline *****, just get one already!! How many years have you been posting here?? ;)

I really do have my 355 to thank for my position in life!

I'm almost there man ... I'm still going with the 360 for a first iA. The 355 might come later if everything works out to my plans.

    Dude,

You'll be happy with either. Just get a good one. My first was a pristine 308 QV that I wish I still had, but I had to make way for the 360 CS. Most people can't have them all. The 360 has A/C.... Important in the South !
