Best advert for my old faithful disclok. Used it for years when leaving my old cars anywhere, there virtually impossible to remove without Big tools.

This makes me sick and sad.

If anyone learns the VIN or even just the plate, please let us know. It's already been posted on Facebook; I hope they find the car, and the pricks who stole it.

It's Europe. Probably eastern europe. Textbook actually. Get in, remove the lock cylinder, twist and go.

Question I have is WHO's car was it? If its some crime boss... wouldn't be surprised if the papers reported two dead guys floating in the Danube River..

Its a nice TB. They looked liek pros. What could they do with it? Sell it for parts? Black market? Over here as demonstrated in the 308 section.. the rarity means joyride.

It was actually stolen in Holland and likely send over the border a few times to get to eastern Europe.

Good luck trying to do that with a newer Ferrari. I can't even "steal" mine with the key when the remote doesn't work.

    Cheers,

    George

At least install a hidden fuel pump cut off switch! Not hard to do and it will stop most thieves and joyriders. The pros will get it no matter what if they want it bad.

my 348 was stolen several times in london when i had it some 15 years ago.
it looks like they tore off the piece of plastic surrounding the steering wheel, which is also where the vin plate is - and that piece took 2 months to replace.

its never any fun to have your car stolen, but at least he was probably insured so he will get his money back and be able to buy again !

I agree with the comments, just yelling out that he was filming would have probably scared them away.

Off topic: I've watched this happen in my neighborhood about 3 or 4 times. Always luxury cars. The guys here are even stealthier. They have pickup trucks with a collapsible lift hidden in the bed of the truck. No amber lights or exposed crane. They pull up to the car, arms deploy from the bed, and they have the car in 30 seconds.

One driver saw me eyeing him driving up and down the street. He got out of the truck and asked if I'd seen a black Phantom in my building. I said no. He gave me his number and said he'd give me a "finder's fee" if I spotted it and called him.

    Risky business.
