I have to admit that I think it is WAY cool that an FF owner would use an FF for the SUV that it actually is. 208 MPH and all ! On the other hand, I WOULD like to know his serial number........
+1, closest to what I feel. Indeed looks like Grigio Ingrid at first sight. Nevertheless, considering the warm sundown light I was thinking Grigio Titanio or Grigio FF could look warmer than usual in that particular lighting.
To everyone To break the suspense it's my 2012 FF Neiman Marcus Edition (so Grigio Caldo is the color). I was returning from Home Depot on Route 50 last year. I had need to grab wood to rebuild rear deck/steps at our old house. Definitely the interior had blankets to cover, etc. Lost the flag on wood when driving. No issue with hatch open (just warning light on dash). I traded my 2011 Maserati GTC and balance was cash (wire transfer) when purchasing (so not a lease car). To me the Ferrari is just another car in the driveway so it's not pampered. Got it as second owner with 258 miles in July 2012 and I'm just past 3,000 miles now. I split driving between FF and my MB S550 and only drive a total of 4,000 miles per year. My wife took it to Cars and Coffee in Great Falls a few weeks back (so that's living dangerously). Dave
Welcome to the party. Like your attitude about it all. You might be pleased to know you have been the most popular FF owner on the internet this past week. These images "went viral" and have been seen by millions of people now I am sure. A bold move many wouldn't dare to attempt in a Ferrari. I used my MR2 Spyder to bring home some 2" x 6" x 12' boards once - had them sticking up like a surfboard with the top down. Also brought home a 6' aluminum ladder on a separate trip to Lowe's with the top step in the footwell and the legs straddling the top of the passenger seat. Sometimes you need something and just didn't bring the right car so you have to make it work. Next time have them attach the flag with a couple hits from a staple gun. >8^) ER
Dave! Is there any chance you can share with us the serial number of your FF?!? For two reasons, mainly: first, because it's a Neiman Marcus Edition (and so liveried in a rare color); but also because it's become a famous Internet picture. I would so grateful!
I saw this F430 spider leaving home depot a few years ago. You can vaguely see the 2x4 leaning out of the top by the passenger side window. Image Unavailable, Please Login
When asked about the photos and the circumstances I tell this story. Last year my wife asked me if driving the Ferrari FF was an 'arousing' experience. So off I went to Home Depot ('honey do list project') and upon my return I could truly say that I've gotten 'wood' when driving my FF. Dave
A F430 could also be very practical: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154086349745035&set=a.10150381995540035.610390.233730055034&type=1&theater
That's a lot of pressure treated lumber...........looks like at least 12 foot pieces......... Even in my Lincoln navigator 8 footers and especially twelve footers are on the dash board and a soft towel under the deck lid The guys Gung-Ho and getting something done.
