That's a more balanced sports car, the 427 will make you mess your pants! From driving impressions I have read, either one is a beautiful machine! GLWS!!
I think he's an architect?? He's been here forever! 512Bbis Now two TRs, one a Straman I didn't even know he owned this car!!
Copy that. The straman vert was tempting for sure. Must be a lot of short term capital gains taxes due for the OP in 2014.

Yeah, Its going to kill me when I sell it ! When its on the road it is very managable... Absolutely a joy to drive...
Drained tank, changed plugs, cleared out all old gas.. Timing is spot on. Does not seem as bad as it was when I got it, but Dieseling is a problem with Winter gas in Northeast...It is ethanol rich, which detonates at a lower temp than summer gas.. I have learned to soft easy kill with gearbox , and now it is common .. I think the summer gas is back now, but with 42 gallons of winter gas still inside, I have some driving to do.. I say , Bring back the Lead!
What's the significance of the Sunoco sticker? Dan Bilzrian is featured in the vid in the OP and he has posted many pics of a similar car. He's not the owner?
Can't tell by the pictures if it has the grommets in the doors to install the window assemblies. Owned a real 289 Cobra for 7 years. It had the factory hardtop, tonneau, and soft top, with the windows. Found it really nice to have the equipment for bad weather. Took it on many runs, some hundreds of miles one way. Kept the soft top & windows stowed in the trunk, in case of rain. Put nearly 30,000 miles on the Cobra. If it was raining, we put the top up, the side windows on, and away we went! With too many of the kit Cobras, no weather protection, they are like owning a bucket-t, people are scared to drive them any distance, if there is even a chance of rain.
My car has the window plug ins But no tonneau snaps. This is truly a barchetta or fair weather car. The tops that are available have to clear the top of the roll bar Which absolutly kills the lines of the car. It was built as a race car A top is a compromise probably thought up by a woman who didnt want her hair to get wet!
Beautiful car. I've been a huge fan of these from the moment I sat in one and fired it up. Totally surreal. I have to admit. I'm not sure if I've ever seen or have even been close to a real one. I take it Kirkham is the cream of the crop?
this is one of the nicest Kirkham's I have seen...and I have seen a few very good ones. all the money in the world on this car in the secondary market is $120k. the $168k is a nice thought but unlikely.
the $168k is a nice thought but unlikely.[/QUOTE] Thats what they said about the last car I sold. and the one before that too! There is a happy median for an interested client. Its summer time and there are no other 427 sc Kirkhams to be had... I have good offers on this car , but time is on my side. The car is exceptionally built in exceptionally perfect cond, and exceptionally wicked. Exceptional cars get exceptionally wicked prices... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Michael I agree that it is exceptional in every way but for 168 K it would need a csx4... s/n. Good luck with the sale however. Pcb
