One of the biggest problems for my 56 year old eyes is that the rear tires are not taller than the fronts anymore. That will always look wrong to me.

great looking car,i to wish they [f1] would go back to less electronics/wings,and let everybody run any engines they want [but with a liter limit] turbos,superchargers,n/a,anything goes, then we'd see cool racing

If they're set on this fuel saving BS, I'd like to see a set fuel limit, but the teams allowed to use it any way they want (ie, not fuel flow limit, refueling, etc). If they limit total fuel, then an engine size limit or specified layout would be irrelevant.

My ideal rule would be something akin to "here's your fuel, do whatever you want to make it to the end of the race."

The best looking Ferrari F1 cars of the modern era are the F2000-F2004.

I fully agree and have stated that years ago here.. problem is thats how you get to slower revving turbo charged energy recovering cars... kinda sorta what's on the grid today.

If the goal is for the cars to look like they did in the 1960s, just be up front and prescribe _that_. Don't think you're going to end up with a Lotus 33 by kinda-sorta reenacting engineering climate of the 1960s.

Even if you tampered with every single aspect of how the cars were engineered, including banning wind tunnels, CFD software, digital computers, hand-held calculators, and only allowed teams to use FIA-issued nomograms and slide rules operated by men wearing FIA-issued horn-rimmed glasses, the teams would simply copy last season's body before they would ever throw out 50 years of design knowledge and go with whatever looked kewl. So it would be 2014 forever.

I hate this business of trying to dictate how engineering gets done behind the scenes. Is this a spec series or isn't it? If it _isn't_, then let organizations innovate and compete. If it _is_, then just publish the required body shape in the rule book and get on with it.

Although far less successful and more dangerous, the BT55 looks the best imo. Precursor to the MP4/4.

Looks nice and neat, the latest front spoilers really live up to their name , also I like the wider rear tyres, all high-end sports cars have larger rear wheels and tyres why not F1 ??
