Price of keys and fobs noted. I do not have the original PIN. I understand it is risky , but how much does it cost to order the original PIN?

    Agreed.

I can fathom why my ECU would "lose" the PIN code from a dead battery and subsequent battery replacement. NOTE: No jump or any other procedure where there could be a power surge was performed.

I have a feeling it's my entering of my PIN with the key. I believe I'm doing everything correctly - I'm even using a digital stop watch (I have OCD :).

Are the Master Fobs not Red anymore? I have the 3 fob set w/ original pin from Ferrari, but the master (Labeled Master On Back) is black.

I haven't tried the original PIN they provided yet.

Eric, that is correct - they don't provide Red fob's anymore - just ones that say "Master".

Be sure your battery is fully charged before you enter your original PIN with the key. Also Note: The document from Terry states after the PIN is entered, the LED will go off. In the case of my 98, that's totally opposite. The LED will stay on solid once the PIN is entered allowing the car to start right after.

Sounds like everybody is having fun, but glad you got yours going, Dave. The PIN is unaffected by low batteries or battery changes, and neither is the fob programming affected when you change the fob battery.

Ketel- No clue what is going on with your system. Getting the engine to start is the hard part, the rest is normally a gimmee.

I cannot recal Terry but Ketel my be waiting to the LED to go off and as I noted, with my car it does not go off, it goes steady on once the PIN is accepted. This was my first clue since when I took the car for a drive the day before getting the PIN to work, I had noticed the LED so solid when using my FOB to disarm the immobilizer.

That said, you may wish to check your helpful document to make note of this. I was very focued on the LED going off and several times I did not even try to start the car since I assumed it was wrong.

Dave, it's a programmable EPROM in the Alarm ECU and in very rare circumstances it has, and it does. This info came to me from a BOSCH engineer.

    Terry:

A quick question. In your instruction sheet you specify that each number of the PIN must be entered (by key 0 -II) within a 2 seconds total time.number. This is different from the OEM instructions which state that when entering each PIN number the key can not remain in either position "0" or "2" for more than 2 seconds. As someone who has multiple zeros in my PIN, there is NO possible way to enter a zero in 2 seconds or less. Could you clarify this for me? I am about to use my F355 as a target for an HEDP round from my M203 40mm grenade launcher.

    Thanks,

    Scott

Ok, this is just insane! I just tried to reprogram the ECU and cannot get the PIN to work!! WTF!

I'm not losing my mind, it did work as posted a couple weeks back. I've got to clear my head and try again later.

So I tried my PIN again yesterday about 15 times - no go. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong for I did get it to work once.

I'll try again this week. I know for sure it work once so it's got to work again.

Does each number really need to be "keyed" in 2 seconds or less? Two of my numbers were 7 and I thought I was going to break something in the process. No luck here either.

Yes, but 2 seconds is really long. The 2 seconds is not for the entire number. In your example, the 2 seconds is not for 7 clicks - it's for each on-off cycle.
