Birdman has owned if for years now. So bugatti is still no closer to selling all the grand sports they want. I doubt they will sell them unless they start offering a bespoke coach building option.
Problem with coach building a Veyron is the dramatic effect on performance it could have (for better or worse). Making it better = still have to limit it because of tire warranty from Michelin, and making it worse (drag/downforce) could also affect the tires in a negative way, too much load and a tire going... I don't think they'll sell all the cars they want either. Would've been done by now. With cars like the P1 now accelerating faster in an overall better package and looking good at it, the Veyron's one and only trick (stable top speed) is not enough reason to buy one anymore. Especially at their new prices.
Only way they an sell more is more power IMO. Boost it to 1500bhp. Biggest issue with that will be the gears wearing much quicker, the added torque might just be too much on the gearbox. In addition...SuperSport customers won't be that happy.
