Super Hornet! Awesome. And yeah, greater than 1/1 thrust ratio. F100 generation right? What are they running now? How much reduction in radar x-section do you get from the intakes, public version of course. ;)

It's a fourth generation fighter....it's invisible...unless you see it, then, well, the games up LOL. All kidding aside it's a great airplane and unfortunately can't talk about that kind of data :).

I can say that one has never lived if they have not witnessed an F-14 doing low level, high speed passes (full afterburner) on the ground. It will take your breath away in all respects. Those P&W ground-pounding monsters ROARING, ground shaking before, during and after. Yeeeee-hah!

[I need to call doug to see when his 360 is coming He said that was the next car. Ominous QUOTE=jetfuel79;143082233]I just took delivery of my 348 from a fellow f-chatter (Doug) out of N.C. It has been a dream to learn the history of the vehicle and share in the culture that is Ferrari. I have always loved cars, and like all of you, dreamed of owning "the ultimate" car, a Ferrari, one day. I purchased the car, closed the sale of my M5, and took delivery of my 348 all without the slightest hint to the wife what I was doing. I simply had the car in the garage when she came home from running errands, and waited to see the look on her face--priceless!! She loves the car.

Being a pilot I get to fly really fast and really expensive toys. But, when the motors shut down and the fuel runs out it's awesome to come home in my little Suzuki Forenza and see the garage open up, and sitting in the 3rd bay is a little piece of art, a little piece of automotive legend, and a lot of pride.[/QUOTE]

I've been really blessed to do some amazing things in the military. Before I went on exchange with the Navy I was an A-10 driver. One of the pics is of me getting ready to refuel over Afghanistan, and the other is of me taxing the jet on my way to fly a mission. Two things boys always like: jets and cars!

From sexy to ugly as hell: Ferrari, F-18, A-10

In order of bad ass: A-10, F-18, Ferrari

To blue skies and endless roads!

Congrats and greetings from a fellow pilot (although my plane differs from yours in speed by few hundred knots lol). Exactly a year ago I was same situation as you. Buying a 348. One of the best purchases I've made. Wife loves it, kids like it, met wonderful friends due to association with Ferrari and I am still young and slim enough to fit in one of these.
    Best of luck.

Welcome David, nice 348 and fantastic aircrafts.
When I was a child, I used to dream about Ferraris and planes (F18, F16, F15...) Now I am a 348 owner, but about the planes... Not so lucky as you are, I just had some flying practices in a little Tecnam P96 :) Wow, I can imagine the feelings of piloting a F18.

A Warthog. That is one tough, mean, bad a$$ machine. Nice.

I suspect there will not be an exhaust too loud for your Ferrari ;)

I will....I actually just moved to the Valdosta region and have been traveling a lot for work. But when I get a free weekend I want to take the fam up to Atlanta and meet up with the fellow fchatters in the area and take my ride for some fun mountain driving.
