The usual measurement is the standing kilometre, by which time both cars should be over 300 kph. You can also have a standing mile, or two.

a magazine measured performance of the P1, right? And not in the best conditions. You've seen the time? And when SS said that the ferrari goes faster, how fast you think he reached? 200, 230 A little more? At this speed how can we be sure to be quicker? Especially when you see time at 200 or 250., But most importantly, you will agree, is the pleasure that gives these cars on a circuit. And everyone makes his choice. And for that, again look at the face of journalists who have tried P1. We don't need words!
In terms of lap times on the track, I hope we can compareer one day. Just look how P1 is wrestled to the ground on the track. On track we think it's real race car. Amazing, and soon we can have trofeo tires, you can imagine.

One day, we will see the exact time to have the conclusion. Perhaps there will be surprises.

I keep being amazed at how so many people feel so strongly about this! Some of you (very very few) have the luck and privilege to own one of these 3 amazing cars....and you spend your time in here defending your purchase or playing "my co*k is bigger than yours"!
It is obviously normal that some of us prefer one car or another but why does that mean that we have to bash the other cars and not accept that they are all pretty amazing?

It really feels like discussing with children in here sometimes.

Can we just discuss what we like or don't like about these cars without having to bash the other? Is it so difficult to just stop attacking?

Exactly. This thread has been a school yard of cock measuring for months...I look at it this way, it keeps the kids from playing in other threads and forums :)

I will be getting my P1 in a few months but would also gladly get a LaF if I were determined to be worthy.

When does collecting become hoarding? :D

250 kph are easily attainable at Fiorano in a LaFerrari, more than that in the hands of an expert. You just don't want to accept that SS found the LaFerrari to be the more accelarative car. Not our problem really.

What an excessive competition about who is owning the faster super car!

I thought one buys such a dream car out of passion and not to strengthen the limited ego.

I think that's the attitude shared among a lot of the buyers of these cars

It looks like a new review of the P1 is coming out next week and it sets a new benchmark in road testing.

It would be easy to feel a tinge of sympathy
for dear old Lamborghini and its all-new
    Huracán, what with the knee-tremblingly
good LaFerrari taking centre stage this week
and the McLaren P1 rewriting just about every
rule of road testing next week, more about
    which, er, next week.
    Steve Sutcliffe.

Definitely MotorTrend. The review that I was really waiting for. I was wondering yesterday why it isn't out yet! The editing of the 918 review was great and Carlos Lago does an amazing job reviewing these monsters.

Sutcliffe writes that the P1 actually pulls 15g whilst cornering and not 5?

Why you need to despise people. And what you say is not true, on the contrary, SS said acceleration is more violent in the P1 and that is a reality. At 200 which is faster ? At 250 who knows? The only thing I want to say and it is easy to understand , is that if you test 2 cars and that gives you a more violent acceleration you must think it goes faster. You understand now? I don’t think SS is at 250 and if the case, the P1 is 245 in 9.8 sec and 400 m , how much LAferrari ? Even though it was 0.1 sec faster (and I’m sure not), do you believe that the SS felt this ( and on 2 different tracks and 4 weeks later ) ? Again put the two cars together and test . I'm not saying this is the P1 which is faster , I do not know, I expect to see . I just criticized the fact that these are just numbers on paper and it's easy to say that is 15 and the other 16.5 . We have to check and I look forward to. I dream to see them together on track. And if Laferrari is faster, it’s good and in reality it’s not the most important for me. The important thing is the pleasure that give me P1 and it is amazing. I will go as often as possible on the track to enjoy. I can not imagine leaving the car in a garage.
Now I have nothing against you, I don’t know you and I don’t want to change your mind, simply i give my opinion, that’s all. Wait and see. And as some people say , enjoy.
