    Some time in April there was a post related to 348s. Specially it described how to remove and lubricate the shafts (which are within tubes under the car) which are used to change gears. Can not remember whether it was on F Chat or elsewhere.

    Should have printed it out, but I knew I would not have any trouble finding it again. So much for depending on my memory.

    Really good tutorial and I actually did this yesterday (but without a ramp).

    If I may I'd like to just a couple of things....

    1) In the video it mentions to apply the lubricant to where the cable goes thin which I di as per video. However, I noticed that after doing that you could get even more (as in extra not instead of) freeness of the cable by apply lubricant into the "cup" and wiggle in the cable up and down.

    2) If your struggling with that very inaccessible 8mm bolt to undo the spacer plate undo the 4 13mm bolts holding the bottom of the gearchange mechanism plus the 2 set screws holding the H gate inside and the mechanism will drop about 5mm making it much easier to do :)
