Is the spoiler on the roof to prevent the air getting to the wing?

He is better know for his Porsche wide bodies. But I really like what he did with this 348.

Those pics on post #29 look pretty good and balanced. The car is a tiny bit too low for my taste ......... and I wonder how wide those wheels are? .......

    :)

That was right after the fenders were flared. There are some other pics, that I haven't found yet, of when he had them cut up. It was all metal work for both the front and rear flares. It was in some Japanese magazine. I'll post them if/when I find them.

Ernie, dude, stop cruising Japanese tuner web sites. It is not healthy. You are not going to pimpyourride-san.

I like it, it's got a little German tuner retro feel to it. Reminds me of the Strosek customs from the 1980's.

The only problem is the 348 has no power to aerodynamically move that much drag. I bet while lookin cool the modified car would be slower. I'm not sure the track and big tires corner speed would make up for the loss of straight line speed. I wonder if there is a way to calculate that trade off?

I wonder how it works with the car being a LHD in Japan? Apparently one must be able to get a waiver or something like that.

LHD in Japan is a big deal because it highlights that the car was imported into the country especially for the owner rather than being a Japan Domestic market car!

They even import LHD Toyota's/Honda's/Skylines' etc., etc., to show that the car was brought in from abroad!

I came across this video of the white wide body 348, in the first post, on track.

    Eat your heart out Sy.

    Thanks.

I really would like to wide body my car, although I'm having second doubts as it's so rare.
