    There was a thread posted last week on overheating. I read the posts to learn more from the brotherhood even though I did not have the problem at the time. Wednesday, when I pulled my 95 spider into the garage after a drive, I always check the gauges and I noticed the water temp was slightly higher than normal (my cars water temp normally oscillates around the vertical 195 degree mark). Usually when I pull in I will hear the left fan running and see the temp coming down, but not so this time. I'm anal so I normally wait for the fan to shut off before I shut her down.
    Thanks to this forum and all the contributers I found a blown fan fuse. I jumped the contacts and the fan ran just fine.The relay still looks factory fresh, no moisture problems here. New fuse and we are back in the game now.

    Good fix, but keep an eye on it, because it's not clear why the fuse blew to start with, so it may blow again in the near future without you being aware.

    Lol...actually he kinda implied he didn't use the search button! He stumbled upon a new thread last week posted by someone who then didn't know how to prob use the search button....haha just kidding ! Anyways to the op , well done but also keep monitoring your temp....my right fan stopped working , got that fixed but now the thermostat seems to be the problem...

    Probably a good idea to keep an eye on the situation. Failed fuse is a symptom of the fan motor drawing too much current when starting to spool up after getting its power through the relay and coolant temp switch. Although I haven't had any issues with my 90 348 ts I understand the rad fan motors have been known to cause "issues" in the past. JGW

    I'll do an amp draw test at the fuse block. it seems quicker. Does anyone know what the draw should be for the left fan motor with a good battery. I haven't checked the running voltage, but I suspect it will be around 13.5 volts.

    OK bikz, found a good thread from f355spider 5-17-2010 concerning replacement cooling fan motors. It actually had some amp draw specs. I will need to check if there is a difference between 348 and 355 units.
    With the start of the season every 348/55 owner should read.
