I've been reading a lot about it to today. Must've been a MEGA offer though. Last time I think they offered around 20 million, and that was around 2010ish...

Newey has raced in Ferrari's before in Le Mans, so his previous declines where nothing against the marque it seems.

This can also pave the way for Vettel to come to Ferrari in/before 2016. YES.

Jas, how are you? Hope all is well.

Remember Newey owns a number of Ferrari street car, in fact I recall he had a 365 Boxer in his garage as well. His issue in the past was living in Italy.

My god; Ferrari has been trying to get Newey since the late 90's...their offer back then was for mega bucks. Would be shocked if he ever made that move as he always denied moving to Italy from his homeland....

Newey already has said that he wanted to do something about boats and that he wouldn´t want to race against Red Bull, as it´s the team he´s created. He´s closing to a retirement age also... I don´t see this happening.

All is well, thanks :). Small chance I'm leaving Africa soon for good. Fingers crossed! Yourself?

Wasn't aware he had Ferrari road cars, wonder what else he has beside the Boxer :).

There's a lot of excitement being generated about Newey going to Ferrari based purely on the fact that he has not said it isn't going to happen!

Based on that theory, I'm looking forward to marrying Kirsten Dunst - After all, she hasn't said it's not going to happen! :)

Ferrari should just have Newey cloned. Wait another 21 years between titles. And reap the rewards of a young Adriano's engineering chops.

This is the way I think it is - however - when you're good at something - its hard to give it up and retire.
