Does the charger plug into the cigarette lighter outlet? I have a CTek charger/tender and, in my Porsche GT3, this plugs into the lighter socket. Sorry, for the basic question (I don't even know if a 458 has a cigarette lighter socket); I don't have a 458 but have one on order.

    Many thanks.

    Thanks,

    Andres

The car comes with its own charger which has a special plug under the dash to the right of the glove box.

The car does have a cig lighter but do not plug a charger in there. My Porsche has a factory charger that plugs into the cig lighter. Works great in the Pcar.

Ah. I see. In america "nuts" is commonly understood to be a friendly/joking word for "crazy". But it can easily be taken the wrong way so I should have added a smiley to be clear :)

First I take my elevator down to basement level 3. After walking past 100 or so priceless collector cars, I then have to select which of my Ferrari's I am going to drive. One done, I then open the drivers door (what a surprise) and get in. I put the key in, yes it is 18 Karat gold, and turn it. Then after 30 seconds, I press the start button and it barks to life. I drive over to the elevator and drive the car onto it. I take the elevator up to the ground floor and drive out of the elevator onto a car capable lazy Susan that turns my car in the correct position so I can drive it out of my main floor garage. One out of my garage, i press a remote control button on a fob that opens the 12 foot tall gates that allow me to exit my compound's driveway.

    OK, just kidding.

    OK Ill play.

    Open garage.

Walk around car and inspect tires (I know theres the TPMS but I like to have a look) and check tender is green.

Unplug tender from wall, when lights go out, unplug from car.

Get in the car and slide the seat forward (manual race seats here :) )

Start the car and wait for engine light to go out

Reverse out of garage (back up camera does aid this a bit)

    Close garage door

Put car in 1st leaving it in auto for the first mile or two to let her warm up a bit using the factory shift points.

    Drive off.

Let the fluids come up to temp and also put at least a few miles on her to get the tires warmed up a bit and then its fun time.

Dont really name the cars but they are all her/ she. :)

Given your stated objective, don't drive too fast. Who knows how many missed opportunities? (lol). Best
