I do understand the car, but have trouble justifying the price over a lightly used C6 Z06.

Heck depending on the year you could buy almost 2 Z06's for that much. Or defiantly a C6Z and a C5Z.

I would love to buy a Z/28. My dealer is only allocated 2 cars and both are spoken for. I bought a 2014 Camaro SS instead. Not a bad car but not a Z/28

I hate to buy a car solely on hype. Mt plan is wait a while and drive one when the excitement fades.

I also bought a 2014 7 Vette and I love the car. It doesn't matter to me it only has 460hp, It is the best handling drivers car I have ever driven. I am just loving it.

The Camaro driving is very good. The manual shifter is a little notchey for my wife. I find it okay. The Challengers shift much better and buttery smooth. They do not drive as well.

The Corvette shifts very smooth so the Camaro may just be my car

    best

They are not sold out. I sat in a White Z28 at Koons Chevrolet in Fairfax, VA on Monday, FWIW. I was cross shopping C6 Z06's and the sales guy wanted to sell the Camaro.

No, I didn't get either unfortunately. I did snap a few pics of a BAD Lingenfelter ZO6 and a TA Viper they had in the showroom though. Almost squeezed the trigger on the vette until they admitted it could not pass inspection.

Because the 500 sold so quick they're upping production and making it for multiple years. The last estimate I heard was 2500 total to be made - but they will up that number if it keeps on selling.

The problem with the Z/28 is that it's a Camaro.

    I think a ZL1 is a better buy.
