This is the trade off all convertibles. The coupe version pretty much always looks better, especially with the top up. I think Ferrari actually did a great job making the spyder look okay with the top up. It's definitely one of the better looking soft tops, imo.
I wish targas were more common. I had an Elise with a removable hard top and that struck the perfect balance.
I guess I have to add my 2 cents....no matter what car I've driven...lambo, ferrari, bentley, etc....always like the feel and experience of a spider...a little more connected to the road i guess... Sent from my SGH-T999N using Tapatalk
Agree, I also had an Elise... The targa was great! Also owned a Ferrari 308, targa was great. Then I got a 360 coupe, figured out I only drove it on nice days, sold it. Now I have a 360 spyder, still only drive it on nice days, so the convertable makes sense. I only get a 6 -8 month driving season, so it's always top down on sunny day drives.
Hi Tim, where are you seeing coupes for low $60K? I found a 99 on Duponregistry w/19800 miles for $74+. Inquiring minds want to know. TIA! Oops. Found some on cars.com
