Sadly this was an unused and neglected long term garage queen which needed a lot of work. Even if sold at this price it would probaly reflect only part of the restoration costs. Rarity alone is insufficient to achieve a decent market price.

All it takes is time. The supply is already tight. The Espada is back. The Urraco is moving right along. A 76 P300 was just sold by RM Auctions for $57,750 in decent unrestored condition. Regardless of investment potential, the one thing a Jalpa owner never has to fear is that someone else will be showing up with one. I've only seen (2), ever. That's counting mine & the one when I was a kid.

Hard to rationalise in my view and one swallow does not make a summer

  4. I would agree. One point is that old cars are on the rise, regardless of make, in general. The trend is up on anything old Lamborghini, from tool kits to the cars. The Wheeler Dealer show claims a similar price on the green car, not that I am endorsing paying 50k on a Urraco at the moment.

Now here is a Rosso/Nero Silhouette in US that was for sale several months ago and is perhaps still available. Needs some work but in good overall condition. Asking price was around $75k and surely worth it.

Yes, one of several silhouettes in Japan. This is the only one I know with a red line on the speedometer

40002 has just been mentioned on the "Countach Values vs Jalpa Values" thread. This was the second of two prototypes based on a modified P300. This pic shows the relay and fusebox layout of the P300 was retained.

its a good bet the bigger airscoops will knock down the topspeed for those autobahn burners. aloong with reducing weight, did wallace remove his scoops on the rallye for this reason? the opening on the rallye is quite a bit smaller than painted area that shown in that grainy side view pic. the size is actually pretty darn close to a stock urraco opening anyhow.

This is going to be one of those depressing 'someone please sell me a silhouette' posts...but I'd really appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction!

    Thanks!!!
