2014 Ongoing Connecticut Gathering

Rt 2 south from Hartford was milled Friday night. Went through Satirday morning and there were stones flying everywhere and a cloud of dirt rising over the highway. North bound wasn't milled. Take 91 to rt 3 to avoid rt2.

For those interested, my nephew's Ferrari birthday party is today at 4. I know the weather may suck, but any Ferrari owners interested in attending, please PM for address. It is no longer a Magnum PI party, so Hawaiian shirts and mustaches not required, just a Ferrari.

 

I did forget to mention that refreshments will be served. if you don't like kids the refreshment can be of an alcoholic nature.

There isn't anything there worth seeing. They lost their pro events to the merger of Sportscar and ALMS.

 

Yeah, very disappointing schedule this season...only one worth attending is they re-added the Empire region Ferrari event July 18-19. In the past I've seen FXX's, of course the Ferrari supercars, Pagani Zonda, McLaren F1.

 

I'm going Saturday.

 

Yes this we were not happy about! Its a family camping thing so we're doing it none the less. Glad to hear ferrari days r back. Ill be there for that for sure. Enjoy if you're here, ill throw some pics up.

Anyone coming out to Gbury tomorrow?

Weather is looking good. Only 30% rain at 1pm. Morning is nice and sunny

 

Hoping to make it there in the new STI...although Ferrari is tempting too, just got her back today from a major major...

I won't be there. I broke down with the Navigator on rt17 in Glastonbury. Lost a brake line. Very exciting for several seconds! Made the Ferrari seem boring.

 

Anyone know how to obtain tickets to the July Ferrari event at Lime Rock? Is it a private event? Nothing on the LRP website.

 

Sadly, there is no Ferrari event at Lime Rock Park this year. The organizers are now moving the events around rather than keep them at the same locations each year. I think the Ferrari Challenge will be back in 2015.

Confirms my observation about the rarity of Lancia these days. The Lola driver must be enjoying the backroads.
