There have been some excellent detailed write ups with photos of this procedure that all 348's will go through, especially the definitive dissertation by Acemaster, but since I suddenly found myself having to do a stat triple seal job on my car, I figured what the hell? Put it in movin' pit-chers so folks can laugh at some idiot trying to slide one of those @#$% rings on the splined shaft in Living Color. It's too boring for words, but it might help the next owner who isn't sure just what's involved. Just Google "Ferrari 348 triple seals" or try these:

Excellent videos, Paul, I've added them to the "348-do-it-yourself" thread.

    Don't worry, I added the correct 3rd video ;)

One note, however; at about the 1:05 minute mark of the first video, you made reference to possibly being able to remove the pumpkin on some models without removing the muffler. To the best of my knowledge, I believe you must remove the muffler regardless of whatever 348 model one has, there is no way to remove the pumpkin with the muffler in situ.

If my memory serves me correct, on the twin mufflers you can leave the top can in place. Though you do still need to remove the bottom can. So yes, regardless you must remove the muffler.

Thanks for the positive feedback, hope it helps someone. It's made possible by those pioneers who have gone before and documented the procedure. I literally found the leak on Thursday night, and was scheduled to go to the Reading, PA Concours yesterday (phenomenal event and turnout, by the way). So Friday morning I drove through a deluge of rain to the nearest Ferrari dealer to get the seals, got home, installed the seals thanks to Acemaster's instructions on his prior thread, test drove on Saturday, and off to Reading Sunday. Without Ferrarichat's wealth of knowledge ( and Algar Ferrari's Parts department) I would have been sitting at home crying in my Cornflakes yesterday.
