650S slots in between the P1 and 12C. Its an actual model, but McLaren have now announced that the 12C will cease production. I drove the MY13 12C recently and it was spectacular. Wonder how the 650S will drive...
not a fake mate.....but those cars are neither in the country nor does he own them yet...try giving him a call and ask ;-)..if he finds a bait, as in if there is a potential buyer in bolehland, he will boleh the car to be brought in through an "associate" ali baba's AP gifted to him through UMNO ties....hope you the join dots.....that's how most grey imports work.....but he is testing waters on very high end rides here....playing it safe.......just posting photos of cars he does not already have as opposed to other grey importers who have holding power so they bring in the cars, then looks for baits(customers)
Be utmost careful when dealing with these people. Fake APs, forged duty paid papers etc. Not saying he is but quite disappointed with car dealers in this country. Even authorised agents get conned big time by runners with customs officers knocking on your doors with tow trucks.
been just going through the early pages of this page again dating around 8 years back!....what happened to great contributors on this page such as "Fengtau" etc.....why have they stopped posting ?
is the English brand you mentioned just for royalties!!!?? lol!!! there are actually some running around in ipoh now! parked on day to day carparks etc!!!! never heard/seen of before....but i think the S Class towkays have found a new liking...plus they're priced about thereish for a couple of year old models.....and by English brand I'm assuming it's not the one with the lady high on MDMA at the front! that, we have none brader on the roads, yet.....anyway thank Jon for the info.....
Haha bro.... yes that flying Alphabet on wings. He's with the agent so other than working on towkay cars most are from the Royal families while most of those we see on the roads are usually grey imports. How else would people park 2-3million wheeler on the streets if one should buy a properly taxed new agent Import?
Hi, everyone. First time here in this forum. I just recently moved to Malaysia from Japan. When I moved, I sold my F355 Berlinetta because I was told the importing would be very complicated, but now I regret it, and am looking to purchase another one here in KL. I found a few on a website called carlist.my, but my concerns are 1) whether there are any qualified agencies in Malaysia that can help with a PPI, 2) whether there are qualified technicians in Malaysia to perform after-sales servicing, and 3) whether there is availability of replacement parts (genuine Ferrari or otherwise). I would appreciate any information and advice on this. Thanks!
welcome to Malaysia my friend.......hope we beat you guys in the Thomas Cup finals though!!! haha....ok getting back to your q....the answer to all your questions is in the affirmative....Naza Italia the official F-car dealership/garage besides that, there are loads of other indie workshops......
Moshi moshi. 355s are "plenty" here so don't worry about finding one & they have stabilised around Ringgit 250K+/- though you might have to pay cash for one rather than finance. You can self import parts but subject to heavy taxes & the agent sells them for reasonable prices. Are you settling down in Malaysia for good?
Thanks for the reply. It's good to know there is an official dealer. I've got a expat acquaintance wanting to sell me his Modena since he's leaving Malaysia soon, but I still prefer the F355. I just want to be sure I'm getting a good quality second hand and not an abused piece of junk. Oh, and sorry to disappoint you on the Thomas Cup. Even worse, most Japanese don't even really know that we won. (Or what the Thomas Cup is, for that matter.)
Hi there. Thanks for the info. RM250k+ seems pretty steep for an old F355, but I suppose that's how the market is here. By cash is gonna be a bit tough. Guess I'll need to start saving up. Not sure if I'll be settling down for good. Mostly depends on my employer. In any case, it'll be a long haul (6 years minimum) for sure.
well we kinda somehow in a weird way of how the world works, go by the market value at times in most circumstances at the prices in the UK for cars above 10-15 years old!!! so the 355 is around 50k quid, we sell it at around RM250k! (x5 is where the currency is at for a while)....... and my friend, if you want to consider malaysia as your second home , at least on paper! you could benefit from the MalaysiaMy2nd Home programme or something like that which is a govt initiative to attract foreigners such as yourself in settling down here a little...with that you're given some great benefits, and one of them is to bring a car (or two? not sure) from wherever in malaysia (i think) with full tax/duties exemption......
thanks but no thanks for the disappointment mate.....next time please stick to more Japanese minded things like being a samurai or making great superbikes!!!!! please leave badminton to us!!! hahaha just kidding my friend..... anyway, have you made arrangements for the car to be checked up?
Not yet I think. This LHD unit was brought in temporarily for the launch in February. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi, I'm kind of an expat here as well though our family was rooted in Malaysia since the last century. If you need to take out a loan, it's possible but will need at least one year of pay slip & employment contract etc all the usual finance red tape while anything older than 10yrs will prove to be very difficult to finance eg. 355 In Singapore, an F355 can easily cost us SGD$250K! which is 2.6x more than Malaysia *glurp* but they hardly ever depreciate & prices have hovered around that for the past 10yrs.
Jon Lately I noticed the 360 prices in KL are dropping like flies. One is quite close to a 355. Is this the case of over supply or only that few cars that no one dare to go near? Well, from the pictures, they look good though. Regards
Wow that low? You mean like high 200+ for a 360? Few issues I would think, accident or rat cars as usual & then as they get old, no finance or insurance so they become very tough to sell. Who would want to dump Rm150-200K+ cash for a car? Those who can afford would jolly well go for newer models. It's the same in Singapore. Then don't forget that these are high performance cars. Ferraris usually need new bushes, ball joints, engine/transmission mounts @ 5yrs+ & parts are easily 4-5 figures before labour so you're looking at a potential bill of RM20-50K (cash) to recommission any old & tired cars without history. It's a cruel market. Very easy to buy but very painful to sell. That said, I saw a red 348 parked with a dealer in Ipoh last week when I drove past. Another issue is the drive. 360 is the 2nd F road car with F1 & the trans is very very slow, you'll be happier with manual. I just test drove a 599 & didn't quite like the F1, finding it similar to my ex Stradale on the street but the car is very well damped, absorbing a lot of bad surfaces like a cushion with huge amount of torque. Perhaps an extended drive & longer roads will prove it's worthy. The 612 F1 is also quite slow even in sport mode. Have not driven 458/Cali but the 7speed is supposed to be very smooth & fast, so good that some guys prefer the kick of older model. Oh, it's the same for Huracan as well from those who just went for the factory orientation course. The new gearbox is very smooth & fast.
599's gearbox too harsh to your liking? I remembered reading that you complained some sort of that for your Stradale. Huracan has come a long way, the older generations of Gallardo gearbox was bad.
