What a fantastic day!! My hat is off to David Ray for what he has done with Hooked on Driving here in Northern California. It is great to have a group where I and others are comfortable bringing their Ferrari's to the track. Joe, sorry the Challenge car was not ready. You missed a good one. It was great to see the 458 Speciale out and running. What great fun.

The first 4 minutes of the video is shot out of the back of my F355. You can see the Speicale approaching and eventually passing me. The rest of the video is shot out of the front of my F355 trying to keep up. We are running in the "D" group.

    Yea I enjoyed that:)
You gave a good account of your self and your 355, I liked the crackle and pop on the change down. Both cars sounded amazing, but I think the 355 had the scream :).
    Thanks for sharing.

Cool video! Just wondering if your car has a manual or F1 transmission.

SKUSA drives an "old school" manual and is a helluva driver, as you can see. Well done, as usual, SKUSA. I was wondering where you've been, since I didn't see you during there Sonoma and Laguna Seca Challenge races. It must be that Karting background...

    He$@ yeah!
One perfect "heel toe" is worth at least a hundred finger blips. It's great to see that some of us recognize and can appreciate skill when we see it.

Butcher, miss seeing you. Thanks for the comments, but watching the video it is amazing how for off the apex I am on many of the corners. Did the HOD the day prior to the Ferrari Challenge at Sonoma and was planning on attending the Laguna Seca Ferrari Challenge weekend. Purchased a VIP ticket for the weekend but when they just had one sport session per day and required nomex driving suit, it just did not seem worth the effort.

Look forward to seeing you out soon. Pictures of your car in the magazine looked great.

6 speed, three pedal. It is a July 94 build, one of the first F355's in the USA. F1 Paddle shifter did not come out until 1996 model year.

Just an awesome sound and perfect heel/toe. The 458 SP with what, 200 plus more hp should have been on you and left must sooner. Obvious who the best driver is in this video. Do you participate in any racing or have you?

Thanks much brother, we got some catching up to do, maybe during concours week.

Well. Laguna Seca was actually great fun and worth paying the VIP ticket. I went on Sunday and they dropped the Nomex suit requirement just before the event, but I still brought a suit in case. They actually added a sport session at the end of the event and one of the "so called" touring sessions was led by a challenge driver with only a hand flu of cars and essentially was a full sport session. So in essence we ended up with essentially 3 20 minute sport sessions for the day, not too bad.

That was awesome, can't believe how quick your stick changes were!

It does show that learning to drive a car fast is worth more and probably cheaper than putting money into HP gains.

Fantastic driving and sound. F355's really shine on a track where you can drive in the power band in the high revs.

Great driving and a excellent showing of what a well driven 355 can do. Just curious what tires, brakes, and suspention do you have? Are they all stock? Final question where you driving at 100 percent or how much do you think you had left. I noticed as you said previous you felt a few apexes were missed but from the video it looked pretty consistent on the lines and the brake points. Awesome. I'm hoping to get my car to chuckwalla this winter.
