Guys, appears that DRIVE is scheduled to have a couple of programs on NBCSHD post Monaco qualifying Saturday. Directv lists the following 2 programs: 8:30am cst - DRIVE Monaco 9:00 am cst - Off the Grid /DRIVE Coming to NBC Sports - YouTube
I watched DRIVE Monaco. I felt like the three presenters portrayed the Top Gear trio very well. Farrah was a classic Clarkson: ostentatious and fat. Spinelli did justice to James May in both demeanor, ramblings, and hair. Chris Harris was perfectly cast as the small statured Richard Hammond, complete with eye rolls every time Clarkson and Hammond spoke. I hope they bring in The Stig next episode for some power laps. Having three supercars on a trip across Europe to the Monaco Grand Prix was classic Top Gear (complete with fun petrol station banter!) and I felt they did justice to the show. I thought it was unpolished and Harris appeared annoyed most of the time. I watch the Drive channel on Youtube and Harris' videos are some of my favorites. I did not care for him here.
Oh I don't like that. I only watch the Harris episodes. Occasionally I watch the loud mouth talk show they have.
Spinelli ruins the whole thing. He should stay behind the camera, not in front of it. Yes I know it sounds a bit mean, but he is so awkward when presenting. Furthermore he is rather bad at camouflaging a scripted segment when it's supposed to be portrayed as improv. He should've been replaced with Mike Musto, whom although I don't share his passion for muscle cars, is a great presenter and personality on-camera. Matt Farah is a Marmite person IMO, you either hate him or love him. I think he and his attitude is hilarious.
I meant to say, I hope not Like news sites these days that have a pay wall after reading so many articles. Youtube offers the option but most channels don't do it.
