As my car (360 NGT) just had an engine rebuild by Michelotto are they not the only company that can do this according the specs? Or is a GT3 a standard engine?

    ciao

F430 GT3 Scuderia Engines are not Standard Engines (mine is a 4.5ltr) but not build by Michelotto. They have been build by Kessel.

Good marketing by Michelotto, but it does not need to go back them. Our GT motors are done in-house.

What I understood is that parts are very hard to get (valves, pistons etc). I bought mine with a fresh engine so I was not involved in the hassle to get it to Michelotto. Just saw the bills........racing is so B E E P expensive.....

Indeed it is! I don't even want to add up how much has been spent on racing by my family in the last 20 years...

Could you post pics of your GT3 Scuderia before you started the rebuild?

Also, what is a 458 Special RS?

    Thanks!`

    Hi Andrew

when I got the Car, it was blue/yellow wrapped but started as a Black GT3 a few years back and raced in France before went to Spain and raced in GT Open and Iberia GT. I did just a quick wrapping last year in White knowing that the car will get anyway a complete rebuild during winter

Indeed, she has had a busy life, but still in good shape and after the rebuild in perfect condition. needless to say, how costly it is :) but this doesnt matter in this case.

Quite some difference with Michelotto. Just the (total) rebuilt was 75k. But I think the 360GT is quite a special engine (?).
Why a new steering wheel? Normally they last forever.

I deal direct with the suppliers, Engine builders, paintshop, carbon fiber manufacturer etc. I know who is manufacturing for Kessel, Michelotto etc. much more admin work for me but you can get good deals. especially if you pay in cash and in advance (and in italy) old steering wheel was crap and I dont rebuild a car and will look at a old steering wheel first time I sit into :)
