I don't think the 430 was massively quicker than the 360CS, or the 458 massively better than the 430S. In real world usability they were, but not so much in performance. In some places yes, in some places no. I feel like recently the new model become slightly better than the outgoing track version.

I'd expect the 458 replacement to be a little better than the 458 Speciale. Just my opinion though.

A modest power boos and more tq is pretty much all they need in order to accomplish their goals. I really doubt you're going to get 670hp and 600tq in it. Anything is possible though I guess.

BTW, I don't think it's possible to outperform the 650S and stay below the F12 because the 650S is already outperforming the F12.

Looks are indeed very subjective. I held off on buying the Italia because of the tame front end and weird rear end. I mean, how does one divide 8 by 3 at the rear??? To me, the Speciale is perfection when it comes to styling :)

    ^interesting point on the f12

For the ones who don't like the idea of the italia being lesser powered than the huracan and 650s, just TT it. Haha. Solves the performance problem!
I really much like the sound of a TT 458.

I think it's laughably ugly, but as with most new car designs, we end up loving them years later....I reserve the right to fall in love with the eSpeciale some day!

It really depends whether one measures better according to the one journalists prefer or the one that has better number but I struggle to match numbers to actual driving experience, the reviews of the Huracan have been fairly guarded and some have mentioned the car feels a bit too Audi.

In a straight line the 430 is a lot quicker than a CS and the same is true for the 458 vs the Scud. At a track, the more aggressive tyres of the track specials, close the gap but not by much. Also the 650 doesn't stand a chance in a straight line race againt the Berlinetta. The new 458 will have to squeeze in that gap.

I dunno. 458 vs 430S on both the videos on YT showed the 458 being very close in a straight line.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETEpDcxJ0YM

Haven't seen an F12 0-300 run, but the 650S stats are:
    0-200: 8.4 vs 8.8 for the F12.
    0-300: 25.4 vs ?
    1/4: 10.5@139 vs 10.6@137

The 60 extra tq goes a long way on the 650S. I think it's possibly the same or quicker early on and only a little bit slower in very high speed.

I don't think there is much room for a replacement between a 650S and an F12.

    430s vs 458 is incorrect.

"...it's just as rewarding as the Speciale..."

    Let's keep the posting honest.
Interesting that the base Huracan can compare so well to the Special 458 model. Reviewer did note neither can compare to the speed of the 12c and 650s though.
While I may still buy a 458, the successor has work to do to catch back up.
I think the 458 sounds better than all these cars, by a mile!

My CS routinely outruns the 430 on straights and don't even mention the tracks....

You cannot know how good the other driver is or how much he is pushing. A CS should not outrun an F430.

Depends how long it stays in production. Probably 1500 - 2000 a year. Gallardo after 10 years was only 14000 I think.

    Probably 6-7 year production life.

It depends on how many they can sell. But 20,000 is probably not too far off, if model lasts 8-10 yrs.

The later ones will have more power and upgrades (perhaps a new engine) compared to the earlier year models, unlike the 458 replacement which will remain essentially the same car during its 5-6 yr life cycle.

Now, that is fact and not opinion!

458 is the next addition to the garage and I don't see Lamborghini or McLaren changing that anytime soon.

Of course but the Lambo dealerships won't play games on allocations or surcharge buyers for some ficticious $100k exclousive delivery upcharge fee

You got that right..and those that paid the surcharges lost a lot...I refused on a 430..and bought a Gallardo instead...
