Mine is cracked there, but it really isn't a problem. As long as you are careful it just isn't an issue - depending on the size of course. I would say mine are cracked at the pins about "average" if you can imagine something along those lines.
here comes another one Ferrari 308 328 Saratoga Targa GTS Top Very RARE Near Perfect Condition | eBay
Never one to shy at crazy projects I am having a regular targa top being converted to a sun roof sort of top. Due to the structure which has a support running down the middle we will be placing two smoked glass windows in the top. I chose glass because storing it behind the seat might scratch it if it were of a softer material. The issue at present is the size of the windows. Too big and you need curved glass. I will post final cost when done. Oh, I would add that this is not my original idea. Somewhere here on fchat I saw a picture of one and it stuck in my mind as feasible and looks good when the Saratoga tops went into really silly numbers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here we go again...on your marks? get set...ready... (no affiliation whatsoever with the seller!) Ferrari 308 or 328 Saratoga Lexan Top or Roof | eBay Rgds
$1000 and with NO reserve..... This one might actually tell the world what the real, fair market value is for these if it sells ! Someone may actually get a good deal too !
Well, actually not yet, Patrick: no bid registered for the time being...but still 9 days 11 hours left, that's plenty of time to reach new heights (??) Rgds
I'm in and I'm the "newbie" here! If someone like helion.todd can make them I will be the guinea pig- i.e. I will will ship my top to you for specs/ design. As I own a The UPS Store, so I will take care of shipping in and out!
I picked mine up from a fellow fchatter about 2 years back. I'm 6'2 and yes the additional headroom is worth every penny. Even the claustrophobia becomes a nonissue with the Saratoga top. Now driving on those sunny cold days is like a dream
I think the one they mention that "sold on ebay" was me. That's about what I paid for mine and when I bought it. I'm happy. I really like it and it doesn't get "hot" in the summer like I was afraid of.
At roughly $2500 with 8 days to go. This is an interesting one - late production so underside frame is padded but with scratch and no storage bag. Hopefully scratch will buff out with a little polishing compound. Seller said scratch looks worse than it actually is due to camera flash. Other Saratoga on eBay looks like a nice one. Earlier production and has bag. Will be interesting to see where the pricing settles.
Another one: Ferrari 308 Original Saratoga Top from the Early 1980s (seems to me that these pictures were already posted on this forum, so it could be sold by a F-Chatter?) Rgds
That first one went for less than I'd imagined....$3,716, when compared to asking prices on most of them.
