Thanks for the pictures. I wasn't sure if there was anyone from Fchat at the show or not. Stop me next time and say hi.
I was going to but didn't want to interrupt any conversations because every time I saw you you were pre-occupied. I'll just have to push my way through next time lol. We got there around 2:15 and I was wondering if you were going to show up, but I know that many cancelled because of the early weather threats. It was a pleasant surprise to see the 348 come rolling in.
Jay, in case you aren't aware of it, your front wheels are mounted on the wrong sides of the car. Rears are correct. My family (both sides) were native Iowans (Rockwell City). No Ferraris.
Thanks. I know they are swapped around. I just haven't moved them yet.I think the new tires are directional and ill probably have to dismount them as well.Too many cars and kids and not enough time.

The first Cars & Coffee of 2014 Des Moines brought out a bunch of Iowa exotics. Some have been covered before and some are new. Enjoy. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I really meant to say that it is a bummer that it appears to have been parked under a car port for several years and left there to deteriorate. I took this picture a couple years ago while traveling through Iowa. As far as I know it is still setting there. I added Iowa to the post to note which state it was in, because the thread is a multi-state thread. I apologize that I insulted Iowa and/or Iowans. Iowa is a wonderful place with great people and cars. Jerry DRG
No need to apologize.... I don't give a crap about Iowa one way or the other (neither does the rest of the country). Actually, I thought the entire photo was a fake and meant to be a joke ---- regardless of the location. But you actually saw this ?
It was located about two blocks west of Hwy 21 in Delta, Iowa, on south side of a city street. I don't know the actual address. I was heading south and I think it was the last east/west street on the south side of town I was a bit surprised, too, but no idea who it belongs to or why it was left in that condition. It looked like it had been there for a long time. A guy here in Texas (from Iowa) told me that a Ferrari was setting in Delta, Iowa. He didn't know what it was and I thought it was probably a kit car. About the same time I drove to Iowa to go to the steam engine show in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. I went through Delta, just to check it out. That is the way I found it. Pretty crazy. I would think the Ferrari guys in Iowa would know the history, but I have never seen anymore about it. Kind of like a barn find, without the barn. Maybe, a carport-weed find. Jerry DRG
Here are a couple of new cars to add to the Des Moines Iowa area. Both recently purchased and looking good. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I will have to look for this. I grew up in the area (not in Delta) but never knew about this. It obviously doesn't run, because it probably would've been stolen if it did.
I believe there are two black Karmas in Des Moines. I know one of the owners and his is definitely black.
It's been said over and over again, this thread is worthless without pics. Am I the only one with a digital camera on his phone?
