The FERRARI front grill emblem of the 512 BB ALLOY "flat" cavallino rampante badge - (and not the chromed "relief" one of the 80's models and later) seems to be the same than the Alloy Cavallino rampante badge of the 250 GT's -TDF-SWB-GTO. Is there any difference between these two ALLOY emblems ?
Thanks for your answer. Do you know the size of the 512 badge and the dimension of the 250 GT emblem ? Thanks in advance
I meassured today on my BB and also on my 250 GT/E both emblems have the same size, about 11 cm high and 7,5 cm wide but the BB is three-dimensional and the 250 is flat hope this helps? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think the BB should be flat. Same size as the early TR but silver instead of black. Newman told me that talking about those.
The horse on your BB is incorrect. Should be silver and flat. Same as the testarossa rear horse in black. The GTE horse is similar in shape to the BB but the mane isn't right for a BB.
thank you paul because of my BB is a koenig I think the emblem is ok because on this car a lot of things are not original. but good to know that this emblem now is not original.
Hi Paul, Thanks for the info. Can you please post front flat horse pics - 250 GTE and BB - to see the mane differences. Best regards. Germain
Compare the flat horse here for a boxer vs the one above that Turbo-joe posted. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks a lot. Here is the first page of the 250 GTE owner handbook with the flat horse on the front grill Image Unavailable, Please Login
