Ferrari LaFerrari vs Mclaren P1 vs Porsche 918

Boy, are Porsche 918 sell out yet? Did LaFerrari also show at Top Gear test track? Thank you for the your attention.

 

Far as I know there was never an expectation that LaFerrari would show at the track. One has to ask if the target market for these cars actually care about a TG Test track time, I reckon they couldn't care less.

Well if McLaren havent showed up yet again(after first time and Ring debacle) i sincerly doubt they have better time. Although, they should have, this is where they primarly test their cars.

 

Everyone can choose their own winner, IF someone compare cars only on the basis lap times, it is crap.......For me it will always be LaFerrari

unfortunately it doesn't look like any of them were making an effort. they could of at least attempted some side by side acceleration runs. still it's only a matter of time now until we see customer cars going full tilt against each other

That's the only P1 delivered in Italy so far - maybe the only one they will get - and the photo was shared on Instagram by the car's owner, so very little doubt it is legit.

4 cars start but only 3 finish??!

 

The 918 has been tested now at dunsold by top gear .
Mark I heard from the horses mouth that mclaren flat out refused to go head to head against the 918 on the same day , in fact top gear team were informed they ( mclaren) may never set a time there at all .
Do your friends at mclaren have any explanation for this ? This is a genuine question , I would have bet money that the p1 would be faster than the 918 at dunsfold , apart from being developed there they will have all the correct suspension etc settings to extract the best out of the p 1 there . What's that about mate ?

 

First has to learn how to drive, imo. Def lifted the throtle at the first slide and then became spectator in the car...

 

Yes top gear finally tested 918 alone , production team "frustrated" that mclaren had no interest in doing a head to head , apparently it's not a true representation of what their car can do . Getting very odd now ?

Btw re the 918 Jeremy says "You know when Bruce Willis slingshots round the moon in Armageddon. That's what it's like when you go round a corner in a 918."

Very interested in hearing the latest excuse from McLaren, it's getting pathetic now - they claim to have the the fastest car in the world but won't release any lap times or let it go head to head with any other car..they clearly have a lot of confidence in the car

Tell me Modena, must America fight every country in this world to demonstrate they are the most powerful militaries force in the world? Of course not. They can just make public display of their superior weaponry and this is enough to convince every country that if they dare to challenge they will be maked loser. Only the stupid countries dare for make challenge. The others remain quiet and are happy for not to move the feathers of the mighty eagle. Same is with McLaren. They know they are superior, Porsche and Ferrari know this too and they are intelligent so they make no stink for this. Why you always ask so silly questions and think you are intelligent? You will not make a good leader for a country. You must study history and learn for to listen.

 

Looks to me like the McLaren camp knows their car cant compete. A sad day in McLaren history.

 

There are established methods of comparison across different disciplines , your example above does not fit this case giacomodiroma ( warfare being different in execution , cause and effect than for example gardening ).
I'm afraid this time it is you that pays no heed to history . It is obvious mclaren see the top gear time as very important ( that's why they made a cake when the 12c beat the 458 ) and mention it so many times .
