You guys make it sound like owners are pushing for the salvage. It is not like that at all and the only owner who wins is one how has a stated value policy not and actual cash value policy or ACV or ST which ever is lower policy. ACV is that low figure they can buy your car at auction where you as a private party can't play. So when the cost of parts/labor exceed the ACV you get a total. Insurance rarely falls in your favor. I have only known it to happen once with a Ferrari in over 30 years.

You can always ask for a "contract repair" from the insurance company.
Some companies will do this without marking the title salvage.

Probably going oversees. Sight unseen for 20K is too high. It will climb up a bit more on the day of the auction.

When the wings travel faster than the fuselage it's a helicopter and shouldn't be trusted !

Helicopters beat the wind into submission!

Helicopters don't fly. They are so ugly the earth simply repels them. :)

All helicopters are an accident waiting to happen. The Rube Goldberg-esque science that makes them fly is just too complicated to fathom. The maintenance required to keep that technology safe makes owning any exotic downright affordable. I don't think I have ever had to reflect owning my exotic in the number of hours of maintenace per hour of operation.
