Before he gave the start Alonso did a lap in a 512S longtail (the Franco Meiners car seen at Retromobile 2013) I wish I had ben there to see that: amazing intersection of two eras of Ferrari history 44 years apart:)

Here is the only photo I could find so far:

La Ferrari minaccia la grande fuga. Ma sarà vero? | TOP SPEED

The fabled Ferrari coming back to Le Mans press conference is missing as usual, like the Loch Ness monster, the Unicorn or runored UFO landings...

Difficult to imagine the Italians being disingenuous with us once again this year.

The story (rumors) started gaining so much momentum during the week that it actually
seemed as though there was a shred of credibility.

Fool us once and all that...

That's how Italians are...not sure if they know or care that it drives us crazy but it is their weird mindset which produces those road cars we sort of like:)
I have to say that if Ferrari ever actually built an LMP1 car they would need an even more incredible effort than the Montezemolo Todt Brawn Byrne Schumacher commando to win: Le Mans is all about details and strict management so the Japanese and the Germans are just in control for the foreseeable future...and beyond in my humble opinion...

Aston Martin is looking very strong in both GTE classes right now. Very impressive thus far.

They do lose a lot of time changing tires. I believe ACO rules dictate only a certain number of people may be over the wall at once and only one gun may be used at a time.

I must say I'm impressed by the performance of the Aston Martin teams. I have always had a bit of a soft spot for that marque. I would love to see them take both the PRO and AM classes.

3 minute stop and hold for spinning wheels on pit lane?

what would happen if the ACO showed up at a NASCAR or Indycar race

Power steering issue. Shame, they were running very well, barring a spin or two....

Does anyone have a good stream that works on the ipad? The dailymotion one sucks. Is the app feed for $11 the best option?

What was wrong with Audi #1?

I'm watching on British EuroSport Live on my TV. It looks like the Audi is under way again but I might have missed what the fix was.

    All the best,
    Andrew.
