Was to a trackday yesterday. My tyres look still ok after 5000 kms There was a guy with his F12 driving SportsCup 2 tyres with altered suspension-settings. The car was flying - but after 300 km (!) the fronts were gone and the treadlayer was visible...
love how the iphone and pack of gum just float around the center console, too funny. The sound really reminds me of my track prepped scud with the novitec exhaust package...
Total respect. I was pissing myself with laughter after only 45 seconds..........that's remarkable driving, and one helluva car and a sensational video. Just loved the way the seat belts were moving with the g-force! My Speciale is a July build, can't wait (the car will be a reality but unfortunately I can only dream about handling the car the way you handle yours).
Hello guys, I am sorry for my late reply and I am happy that you like my video. Bas Jaski, good memory! Well I drove the car for 8 laps and the tyres were still new, the usage was perfect. I usually go between 6 and 8 times a year to the ring, I am going again this we and it is my third time in one month. Hope to go again in July with LaF. I changed the manettino setting because it was one of my first laps with a mid engine car and I felt it light in the back, every mistake the car was going to oversteer. It wasn't like this but it was the feeling, so I preferred to drive it in race mode. At karussel I changed in ct off because the traction control was cutting to much power, and than back to race. I changed gear early for the same reason, I didn't want to learn the car but just driving fast so I drove it like a gt2 so a turbo car. In moments where the car could be too aggressive I preferred to have it at low rpm. After this video and seen all the mistakes I want to set a 7.25 lap time before October. Let see. This weekend it will be open to the public and there will be hundreds cars and with the straight closed so I will have fun with some friends and no lap times.
Manuma, great video and I cant wait to get my Speciale, although I still enjoy a lot my 430 Scud. However, I do miss the freight train feeling of the 997 GT2. Any chance, you are doing the NurburgRing trackdays on July 2-3? I'm doubling up that week and also running SPA on July 1st. All 3 in a 991 GT3 (hard to find a Trackday rental Speciale, hahaha!). I used to go every year on Touristenfharten but now is too crowded for a fast car, so Im sticking with Private days (and VLN racing shortly in the future) I know you communicate with my buddy Andrea from axisofoversteer (I'm AxisCG). When I first read "7.36min lap" I really thought bs, but seeing your video just needed 30 sec to realize, that you now what you are doing. Hell of a driving. Biggest respect. Keep driving safe!
