Thanks for the link - Interesting stuff.

    I *love* this little tidbit:

    Again, ;)

I've just lost interest in even checking it out. A complete & utter waste of time & energy IMO - Would be akin to forcing Mercedes to carry, eg, 20KG extra weight every race as a "penalty" for winning - Their car would weigh a ton come the end of the season!

That should allow the others to "catch up", but at the cost of making the whole thing a joke. No thanks.

Design it, build it, race it!

    Cheers,
    Ian

Nah, seems they have different rules depending on who you are and how well you're doing!

The racing may be close, but that's BS!

    No thanks.

As (IIRC?) PSK notes, if you want close racing, with lots of overtaking etc, go watch a Formula Ford race - They're pretty slow, but at least they're all on a level playing field!

BTW, the rules (not just the aero rules) are not "constantly changing" - The SWG agrees on them way ahead of the season and *everyone* works to those rules for the ensuing season. It's *incredibly* unusual for there to be any changes during the year.

The field is level for all.

    Cheers,
    Ian

I think the biggest issue with Motogp right now is that there are really only 3 manufactures competing and the rest of the teams depend on them for bikes and technology. in the case of honda's "production racer" those teams use bikes that are purposely built to be slower. but things are changing, suzuki and aprilia are returning (though aprilia currently supplies engines) things should open up at the front of the field.

More lead changes in today's Cataluña MotoGP race than a whole season of F1.

Oh, and no team orders. Hondas battled heavily in closing laps.

F1 is utterly forgettable and quickly, given Moto-GP of late. Very enjoyable racing. Given WEC, Moto GP etc, if F1 collapsed I would still be a happy race fan with what else is out there. Its very good beyond F1.

F1 is not the epitome of racing.

Seven in a row for Marquez, and his brother won in Moto 3 today too. Very exciting, with Marc almost taken out by his teammate on the last lap! Rossi was up there, but the old man has no answer for Marquez.

    Infinitely more interesting than F1.

    Cheers,

    George

At least it wasn't a Honda runaway. Rossi was right there, and Lorenzo as well. The Yamahas are closing the gap and I am loving it! Rossi seems to be his old self again - I am happy to see that he is not only competing with Lorenzo, but actually ahead of him in many cases....... The Doctor is in!

So what?.... If you want many lead changes, may I suggest taxicab racing.....

I presume you mean 7 wins in a row?

Seems to me that kind of domination is, according to many here at least, what makes F1 boring!..... Can't have it both ways! ;)

    Cheers,
