The journalist told me she got pulled over because the car didn't have a front license plate. Then there was a problem with the car's paperwork. The officer called a tow truck and impounded the Speciale :(

On top of that, it looks like it turned her whole world upside down!

probably hitch a ride back with the tow truck driver :)

there had to be another solution besides impounding the car.

Soooo...the cop had nothing better to do than pull the car over for no front plate?

Keeping our streets safe, one plate at a time.

I think the CHP patrols Angeles Crest Highway fairly regularly. I think motorcycle guys go nuts up there so the CHP tries to put a damper on things.

But why this guy decided to pull over a ferrari (the journalist said she was just cruising not gong nuts at the time) for a front license plate is beyond me. Then adding insult to injury he impounded the car over some paperwork discrepancy. Come on.

No offense to Police Officers, but the only issue we have here in San Clemente, is the Motorcycle cops that are really not cops but Revenue Generators. Their big things is giving the Moms a ticket around the school, if they are waiting for their children. Or hiding out behind a bush on a street and writing you up for 7 MPH over the limit. What a joke.

I've generally found that CHP motorcycle cops are some of the least friendly and most egotistical individuals I've ever had the displeasure of meeting.

Marty, I moved here in 2006 and lived in Laguna Niguel prior to that, it always seems to be the same fat cop with the mustache that is pulling people over. As I said I have never had an issue wih the Police, but I have run into this guy several time out here and he is a Jerk!

Chp are like black widow spiders. They hide in cool dry places or under viaducts then dart out and get a feed on unsuspecting individuals like you and I. Then they quickly pull back into their little hideaways. Pretty much just insects to me. N
    But maybe that just me

They are on the bottom of the excreted food chain ( won't elaborate what that really means), are usually new to the "force" (they love that word and express it every way they can), and those who are not new to the job are geneerally sidlined so they stay out of the way of real and good officers. As a result, when you see a "bike" be real careful, either use all your self control to stay quiet or risk an assualt charge. Best

    So Cal
Be careful if you ever come to north county. I'm in the Villa Park / Anaheim Hills area and we have bike cops hiding all over the place. The only ticket I've gotten since getting back into sports cars about 4 years ago was in Anaheim Hills. I did not live in the area yet but was looking for houses for sale and got pulled over by a bike cop. The worst part was that I was not enjoying a spirited drive at the time. I was just going the speed that seemed reasonable for the street and forgot to check the signs.

Lesson learned - always check the signs. If I'm going to get a ticket it might as well be for knowingly speeding while having some fun!

No prob! Thanks for the heads up on San Clemente too. I love that area but don't go there often so I didn't know the cops were real strict. And cruising around south county will definitely be in order once I make up my mind on the next car to purchase :)
