It seems like the appreciation for oversized rims has really exploded in recent years. They've always looked great on concept cars and of course the trend has been larger and larger over the decades. But lately it's been exaggerated and very welcome IMHO. Al, that Cayenne you helped me get back here from Portland, I looked at those 22' rims YEARS ago for another Cayenne and thought they looked ridiculous. Now though, just a couple years later, I love them on the new-to-me truck and everyone else universally loves them as well. Was looking at the new Z06 last night online, God help me. Looks at the wheels on this "production" car. Stunning. And most definitey, our aging and gorgeous 2+2's look much better with oversized OZ's. Can you post a pic of your car with the new shoes?

There has been some good interest in this car.

The car will now sell fairly soon. I have a buyer in mind. And he is a good one. I'll probably get my car back at a future date.

Or I will remove the car from the market. I have an special idea.

On a separate note. I, and others have looked for the leak down results. And we did not find them. The only thing I can think of is this. I didn't care to keep them. At the time, my contemplation was to drive it for a bit and have it rebuilt. Being that it was not bad at all. And it still shows no smoke, and uses the normal amount of oil.

This is a heck of a deal IMO. It is not the +$200K car that it once was. I would consider it very strong bang for the buck. Maintenance is what costs these cars their position in the market. That and the fact that there are a lot of newer cars.

Still, this car is now priced below a strong 400 or 412.

Nice car. If I were in the market again, that is one I would put in running....

    But perhaps next year.

I just saw a Chevy Suburban land yacht with low profile wheels. Ridiculous . . .

This is a beautiful car that in 20 years will be priced where the 330GTCs are today. (And don't I wish I bought one when they were $60?) It's a classic: V12, M spec, low production numbers, knockout Pininfarina design, manual box, the last that the Commendatore had a hand in.

When I showed my wife, she said "buy it, we can take the kids." Getting SWMBO on board is most of the battle in these cases, as I'm sure you gents know. I'd jump, but I think I need to scratch that 355 itch.

I tried to convince the wife this was a great daily driver for her..... she still wants a Mini Cooper. Can't win them all I guess!

The car is still available. I will report of a change in status.

Steve, your wife's sensibilities may mean more in the family budget for your DD. So that's good. And I won't take it personally that my proud V-12 has lost out to a Mini. ;-)

I may have interest but I won't know for another 1 -2 weeks as I may have other pressing needs for the funds. If the funds are freed up and the car is still around then, I'll get in contact with you.

    Alan,

Great board name. I had noted it before of course. But seeing it here is neat in a way.

I love my car. It has been a special time.

I may drive it to Virginia for the annual meet. Might be in Charlotte next week. You know these things are better than private jets at something like 200 miles.

BTW. Just accidentally came across the original window sticker. I am not that well organized. Am preparing to have my stereo room steam cleaned, and was picking stuff up. I found it a bit ago.

    $226, 075.00 MSRP.

I was happy to have found it when I did back in '06. I bought it for $110,000 at that time.
It had 10,000 miles then, and was cherry.

    Still a seductress.

Except that private jets don't get pulled over. :(

Be aware, BTW, that radar detectors are illegal in VA. I'll just be going to the NW region's concours in July, but I'm sure you'll have a grand time at the national meet. I don't have the original window sticker for my car, but my options included colored dash and steering wheel and (probably a pretty pricey option) non-standard color carpets matched to sample.

    Last call.

A surprisingly little amount of money for such a nice looking, presentable, and usable Ferrari.

I'll really miss this one. It has an elegant bearing. And has been regular as rain.

This car is understated and has class. The design is simple in a way and I think it will age well. They didn't do much for me in pictures, but I saw one up close at Ferrari of Atlanta that was in for servicing. I liked it. The five speed is a big plus. I think my wife would like this car a lot. She wouldn't want an automatic.

This car has been rattling around in my head. 40k is not much money. Hmmmm

Thank you for your interest and support. The car is going to South Florida. So I have hopes of being reunited one day.

    Thanks again everyone.

Huh, no accidents. Technically true I suppose.

    Quick flip I guess.
