    I have a 2012 California with the 20" wheels (pictured). They are polished on the top of each spoke (and around the surface of the lugs and cap), and then lacquer finished on the sides and around the circumference. So far, I've just been washing and rinsing them with distilled water to keep spots away, but was curious if there was a wax or wheel finish for these wheels that would add some luster to the finish. I have chrome wheels on my other cars, but didn't want to mess around with any polishes unless I knew they would work, and be worth the trouble to use. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

    I cannot give you a recommendation, but I can offer a warning. In my experience the product labelled 'wheel wax' does not work very well, and is difficult to apply also. I would think a good car wax would work since the wheels have a clear coat on them. I would send a message to Todd Helme since he is very knowledgable.

    Just wax the wheels with the same stuff as you use as your body panels. However most concourse people use REJEX a very strong metal protector which is very safe. Some people ev en wax their whole car with the stuff I have on occasion

    You can use regular car wax, but I don't think it will last very long. I use Klasse Sealant Glaze. I remove the wheels a couple of times a year, clean them thoroughly and apply the KSG. The trick is to apply a VERY light coat, otherwise it can be difficult to remove. To make it easier, I mixed a 5:1 solution of water:KSG. I spritz the wheel with it and rub it out with a clean microfiber towel. I then use the 5:1 solution sprayed on a towel and wiped/wiped off after nearly every wash. The wheels stay very slick and clean and the brake dust does not stick to them.

    I seen a youtube video (I know but they showed everything) that the guy used a polymer wax for the wheel. He said to remove the wheel and do the inside and the caliper as well. He said carnuba would break down too fast from the heat. They showed the car after being run and the grime just washed off with a hose. It was pretty amazing.

    I use a detail spray and a micro fiber rag for a quick wipe down at least every other drive. I clean the inside of the wheels every other month with soap and water using a wool brush and regular carnuba wax a few times a year. Normally if I am waxing the car and I drop the applicator on the ground I just go ahead and wax the wheels right then and there and chuck the applicator after. lol 14 months and 4K miles and they still look new!

    Find a local Modesta installer and have them detail and spray your wheels with BC-06. It's an absolutely amazing product. Do a google search for videos and more details.

    OK, so I used Pinnacle gel wash for the body, which worked great - strong beading of the water, dried faster than with any other product.

    I used Rejex for the first time on the lacquer coat on my wheels, and the look is deep and glossy. It adds a shine to the lacquer, and was immediately noticeable (I tested it on my license plate, and the difference was pretty significant- it looked like I had high-gloss clearcoated it). They say to let it cure for 12 hours out of the elements, so its sitting in the garage overnight.

    I'm showing the car tomorrow, and will be interested to see if anyone notices (the other Ferrari folks). Thanks for the suggestion.
