Can I hear some insurance rates for owners of 348's on here? Age, location, and insurance company? Trying to find the best place to do it. Is Hagerty going to be the better one compared to like State Farm, etc. Thanks, Amir
When it comes to insurance, a big part of the deal is having a good relationship with the agent. That being said, I just started a policy with state farm. They can classify my 1900 ts as a classic/antique. And also since where I live driving is seasonal I chose a mileage restriction of like 2500/ year and my whole year wil be $500 or less for 6 months full coverage and 6 months storage. Hope that helps.
A 1900 TS? - I'm not surprised State Farm classify it as a classic/antique! How p:censored:d are they going to be when they find out that your car's at least 89 years newer than you've declared it to be!
My girlfriend got quoted $83 a month with State Farm just to update to the thread, but like to know all the different scenarios and premiums and deductibles.
I have a rider on my daily driver through Condon Skelly. It's a little more than $100 a month within city limits and the 2500 mileage limit. All due at once each year. Haggerty wants to wait until it's 25 years old. Not to long to go now. I also have roadside assistance.
Ok....Hold on to your hat... First of all I have a very good relationship with my AmFam agent, 15 years or so. She worked hard to add my 348 to our standard auto policy, she also has our home/life policies. After working with the underwriters at corporate she was able to add the car with no restrictions what's so ever and include flat bed towing and full glass with unlimited miles for $27.65 a month!!! Needless to say I was well pleased with that.
Try American Modern Insurance. Service is great and they are really reasonable with collector car insured values.
I would add that AAA is worth exploring. They did not even blink an eye when I added my Mondial T other than wanting to see it to evaluate condition. I have liability maxed out and glass, vandalism, natural disasters etc covered. It is on a multi-car policy and this costs about $100 per month for all three cars. I find it quite reasonable.
Before I really start to try to find the perfect 348 (for me), I called StateFarm to see what the insurance rates would be. Well... they'll be less than what I'm paying for a 98 M3 right now. I guess too many boy racers are buying M3s.
My F355 is currently insured through AAA, but they don't offer an, "agreed upon value," option. So if I total the car, they will pay me market value, much less than the $60K I believe she's worth. Heacock is who I'm going through now and they're quoting me somewhere in the neighborhood of $75 per month with the $60K agreed value. Henry
Funny AAA told me they don't insure Ferraris. I have Liberty Mutual. About $800 per year enthusiasts coverage.
Would be interesting to pick your brain about the two. I know the M3 really well, but have grown tired of the car. (It's not stock by any means)
My M3 is my track car so lots of mods too. Traded in my 135i on this 348 sadly. Had 450 hp and full 1M suspension, meth, etc. still the e36 just has the right feel... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I agree.. I was amazed to how cheaply I was able to insure my 1994 348SS.. I had a Nissan Z with a Stillen stage-3 Supercharger pushing 500+HP and had a few unfortunate meetings with these not so funny guys with guns and blue lights to boot on my record. I was shocked to find that the insurance on the Ferrari was the same cost as my Z. A pleasant surprise..
