I thought overall you guys did a solid job with the show. I know there was a hiccup with the ramp being utilized during the parade, I'd only suggest a better one for next year.

I know after this year there is consideration being given for bikes next year.

Otherwise, if the registration could be handled through the site itself, rather than sending in a letter I think that's the only thing I'd recommend cleaning up. PayPal/Google Pay would be an easy way to handle that, and if people would prefer not to use either, simply allow them to send it in via snail mail instead.

I thought it went very well this year. My only concern was what seemed like an awful lot of time spent idling in the heat. Some water at the pickup point for parade drivers would be very helpful on really hot days.

Otherwise it gets better each year. Thanks everyone.

This is a challenge for sure. We go over many different scenarios to efficiently get the children dropped off safely and keep the cars moving.

Yes, better this year. But still tweaks needed. We will address them especially the arrival of the corral people and also the side street.

Yes, we need to do something for those open-top-non-ac-parade cars. As I was hold them before entering the stage area, some of the drivers and kids looked real hot (as in heated, not looking).

I wish I was hooking up with Mother Nature. I would have her make it 10-15 degrees cooler. Maybe 74 degrees :)

I'd say other than the ramp almost taking out a 458 the event went extremely well.

The Concorso seems to be set on the hottest day of the year for all the years I have attended, and with global warming that is not going to change soon.

Being a vintage owner I appreciated the corral very much, espercially the hospitality tent with drinks, pizza and cake. Unfortunately the word about it did not get out. I had to tell several presenters it was available.....but, it was a vast improvement over the past. I think the event location may have reached it's max on number of cars, so that might be a concern for the future.

The event as a whole and experience the entire day was spectacular. The car parking was perfect with space all around each car, rope section and race cars with trailer added additional excitement for fans, goodie bag for participants and shade available for seating under the LaSalle trees - nothing short of amazing.

I was one of the lucky 40 parade cars and I agree with an earlier post there was more idle time this year (we don't cool when not moving). I do understand the staging of entry now and the wait to reenter back to park. A slight tweek may make the experience perfect for driver and passenger.
    1. Stagger the departure from the hospital to maybe 10 car groupings. Two police bikes would still be able to manage.
    2. After dropoff have the cars park and wait again (engines off) in the 10 car groups before circling back to park. Parking was very quick and easy - compliments to the cone position for parking (unsure if that was intentional?).
    3. Have mini waters for the kids after red carpet.
    4. Build a ramp with lag bolts instead of screws.

Again, amazing day and thank you to everyone for all you do to repeat & improve this event each year.

P.S. - Another suggestion for the parade is to have a police bike on standby in the event someone takes a wrong turn. The crew ordered everyone back up again, well done.

Thankyou Sam, this will be noted in the upcoming post meeting. Everything we can do, big or small to improve the show is appreciated.

:)We will need more authority than what we have now to influence the weather, but I agree, the end of June is hot.:)

Now why wasn't I told there was cake....

    1. We have discussed this. What we keep coming up against is the Police do one escorted trip. This will get discussed again this year.
    2. We all agree there is to much idle time. What I personally would like to see happen is prep the area after the stage for parade car parking only. Drop off the child, pull forward, and park.
All I can do is suggest and the committee heads make the final decision.
    3. Simple but awsome suggestion.
    4. Next year I'm SURE will be different.:) Poor Brendon probably won't live that down for a while, he won't make the same mistake twice.
PS. It will be mentioned to confirm there is backup plan.

This is fantastic! We ALL appreciate your input.
    Thankyou!

Hospitality tent, pizza, drinks, CAKE!, really? The cat is so out of the bag for next year. Certainly beats digging in the IFS trailer for Pocono scraps...

On the topic of food, the reserved buffet lunch was great but the setup could be improved by having two lines of entry. Long lines when everyone arrived.

Blu, I assume you were parked in the corral.
The Hospitality is for the parade kids and corral participants.
All the others displaying their cars got gift bags with lunch g/c...as long as they pre-registered.

That's easy to do. It's called September. Thats why the Rodeo Drive event isn't in June. Otherwise the best event ever.

I would recommend parade participants to take it easy on the ramp and not try to do burn outs on it. Screws nor lag bolts will hold in the asphalt while doing a burnout on it. I invite an engineer to please draw up a ramp, and I will be happy to build it next year to their spec.

To all involved the event was awesome as usual & gets better every year. LaSalle Rd is a great place to hold the event & I hope you continue at that location. Regarding the heat, for those that recall the event at the Capitol, although a great back drop there was no shade at all (Crazy Hot!!!). The only other feedback I would give is that when the parade arrives back in WH you may want to give volunteers an actual rope/police tape to string up. Folks were doing their best to keep crowds back however they continued to move toward road center (I know folks are excited). May help keep them back & would hate to see anything happen. Lastly, for those that help pop start my car, a big thanks!!! I know I am the joke on someone's facebook account!!! I know I should have gotten a new battery.....

No way Jay, the owner of the modern 4door Maseratti that parked, closed all windows and locked the doors just to have what we assumed to be a proximity security alarm go off for hours takes that award.

Maybe that's another idea for next year. Have all car owners on a list at registration with a cell phone. We were glad the wireless speakers were nearby to drain it out :(

Brendon, the pitch and stability of the ramp looked and worked perfect until the screws let loose. Just swap them with flat bolts and heavy duty lock washers. I'll drive on that quality of work all day long!

We all, including our cars, thank you. Without it I'd at least have a few more scrapes on our skid plates and those without future paint work.

I thought it was a great event....Only thing is I wish we would have been told we were going to be held on Farmington Ave before heading down Lasalle....Otherwise a great day and looking forward to next year....
