Have you tried turning off the power switch in the front compartment? If not do so. Let the car sit for about 30 to 40 minutes and power back on.

If you press automatic, when key is in accessory.. will it illuminate?

What circumstances led up to you being stopped with the engine off and in 3rd gear? Do you have any warning lights?

With limited info I'd suggest checking the brake pedal switch and also the switch in the latch for the engine cover.

Good luck and let us know what you find out. To voicey's question, how did you get the car shut off and in 3rd gear?

When you press down the pedal do the rear lights come on?

How much mechanical ability do you honestly have? Just to reference next steps... Could be relay...

You say you checked the relay but did you check the fuse? If you have no pump that would cause the issue you have and would lead to either an electrical problem or a bad pump motor. Try putting 12v direct to the motor leads to see if it runs.

Well I think I have a bit this is my 3rd Ferrari
The relay was the problem that caused the pump to burn out
The question was for a second option.
Not for a negative stupit answer I hope when you ask
a question on yours. Members give you the same respect
    Enjoy you car
    Cheers

You didn't exactly give the best information on your post.
There are questions that are asked by many levels of mechanical ability on this site. Determining if a person has the mechanical aptitude to jumper the pump with 12 volts, or measure its resistance, or for that matter check the relay and check its function when out of the car... that's all I was inquiring. I didn't intend for it to sound offensive. I apologize if sounded negative and condescending.

Thank you Mello for helping me clarify. :)

I thought he said the relay was shot and took out the pump. No?
