Quite a result for Bonhams to consign that.

What a scoop for Bonhams, RM and Gooding must be kicking themselves.

There's surely a good chance this will almost double the NART Spider and maybe even the Fangio Mercedes. Maybe?!

Does anyone remember the last time a GTO was offered publicly at auction?

Not surprising. Louwman bought the Violati Collection and at least co owns Bonhams.

I expect quite a spectacle. It all depends on who shows up (or phones it in).

With buyers premium included, I would say 68-70M USD.

3851 GT was involved in fatal accident in Paris early 60's. Owned by Violati since 1965.
Last GTO at auction was Patrick Ma's at Bonhams Gstaad December 2000. Now owned by Chip Connor.

Hope Bonhams does an online stream like Gooding & RM, the auction is going to be packed.

If those are the wrong tires, they should at least knock a grand off the price.

This will be interesting. Probably a seminal moment in auction history. I think it will be just under 65 million US.

Sounds like a pool is in order. No reason more than one can't profit off this event.
