Cheers Gents
j organise un petit voyage a Maranello et Modene du 08 septembre au 12 septembre avec 10 voitures Ferrari
I dragged mine (the family that is) to a local car show in the Cotswolds, here it is parked opposite my brother's even rarer Series II Wolseley 6/90 - apparently there are only two left registered in the UK. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wheels repainted, spoyler repaired, painted, some underside work, trim along sides and rust behind r wheels removed/painted she looks good and drives even better! Took the long way home in the Hill Country this am bringing her back from Frank Kennedy's in Helotes, TX. PO's (from a few years ago) daughter saw me and called her dad who called to catch up - small world. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I had the 400GT & 412GT out together recently so took this photo showing the differences in the boot (trunk). They are actually different colours, Blu Sera (400) and Blu Medio Met (412) which has some purple in it under certain conditions. Image Unavailable, Please Login
My blu medio 412 awaiting its annual inspection this morning. Fortunately it passed... Image Unavailable, Please Login
@Aidan, thanks, I'm keeping track of a blog in case you or anyone else is interested; erwin400.blogspot.com In any case the car behaved very well and was able to make all the hairpins in one go. The climbing went easy, no overheating or whatsoever. Also downhill the breaking went fine (note it's an automatic). For the fun two more Stelvio pictures. Nice pics. I do like the Sera Blu, it's one of the resons I got the Automatic 400i. Haven't got a good picture of the 5-Speed as it doesn't get out much, being still human-powered! At the time it was still blinking from seeing the sunlight after many years in the dark... And I don't know what the colour is. Could be a blu Medio too, it's got more green in it than the Sera. It was Blu Scuro with Sabbia interior originally, according to my records. It looks a lighter blue now though. Jonathan
Thanks Jonathan, the interior is indeed Sabbia with blue inserts, it had a quality respray some years back, which is still very good due to the fact that it has been off the road a while, and the colour is definitely lighter than the Blu Scuro, or the Sera.
I did the Stelvio and Grimsel passes 20 years ago in a Mercedes 190E automatic. Fantastic roads and the car performed well, although the brakes did end up smoking a couple of times! We stayed one night at the Belvedere Hotel near the Rhone Glacier. Incredible place. Aidan
I, funnily enough, especially like the 400 in a dark colour. It sort of sets off the stainless steel nicely. I think my favourite version would be black with red leather. Not very practical, I know, but this car and the Jaguar MKII in black look gorgeous. Image Unavailable, Please Login
