Great car and a great decision to pick up and drive home. There are some great roads between AZ and CO.

If you guys are around on Saturday or Sunday, some of our 'Usual Suspects' get together for coffee and you are welcome to join us in Scottsdale. PM me your number and I'll text/call you.

How does the 360 compare to the Turbo in regards to pushing you in the back of your seat during acceleration? It has less torque, but is also a few hundred pounds lighter.

Also interested in any other comparisons, like aspects about the Turbo you will miss or aspects about the 360 that completely make up for it.

I have a 996 Turbo now and am considering a 360 for my next car but am thinking I will wait a few years so I can have both. I have a feeling each will offer a very unique experience.

I think you might find that a V8 Ferrari sounds just a tad nicer than a flat 6 porsche. Nice car, enjoy!

I hope your adventure is as fun as can be! I am jealous.

footnote: you need new friends if you have to pay one to come along!

Let me know if your transportation changes. I wouldn't mind driving you car to you from Phoenix for no charge to you at all. I am located in Phoenix and probably know where all your maintenance was done here in town. Just pick up my costs such as fuel, flight home, etc. I am retired and have nothing better to do this week!

The trip went very smoothly. 1700 miles in 31 hours. If I had known the car was going to be this nice, I would have just driven it home. As it was though, we trailered it back with my dually.

First impressions? Why on earth did it take me so long to buy a Ferrari? In other words, absolute love it. It is in wonderful condition. Looks more like a 5-10k mile Fcar than a near 30k mile car. Since Sunday night, I've driven it 325 miles and I can't stop! Any excuse I can find, off I go!

How does it compare to the 996 Turbo? Better in every way. Every single way. The cabin is quieter, the ride is better, seating position (and seats themselves) more comfortable, the trunk is bigger, I can go farther on one tank of gas, and most importantly...it's just more fun! The Turbo was a fine car. But, it was a bit of a ballistic missile. This, the 360, is slow enough that you get to enjoy rowing through the gears, but fast enough to get into trouble if you so desire.

If I had to pick one part about the Ferrari (besides the glorious sounds that emanate from the Fabspeed exhaust) that I liked best, I'd have to say the gearbox. The lightweight flywheel makes it a bit of a challenge. You do have to rev-match, and you mustn't hurry it along to fast. Sure, when you're flogging it up through third or fourth it's more than willing. But driving around town in traffic does take some thought, and for me, a challenging car is a fun car. Keeps me entertained.

I'll say it again, why didn't I do this sooner? The Modena is by far the best car I've bought to date. Not the fastest, keep in mind, but the best.

A lot of my miles so far have been acting as taxi driver. Most of my friends have not seen a Ferrari, let alone been able to ride in one, so it's very rewarding being able to give them that opportunity.

I'm looking at doing a short cruise up through the mountains next week, I'll probably head up HWY 34 to Trail Ridge Road, then shoot down HWY 40, I-70 to Blackhawk to spend the night, then up HWY 119, HWY 72, and HWY 7 to get back home to Fort Collins.

I'll also try to make it out to C&C in Lafayette this weekend.

Now, time to go for another drive. Think I need some toothpaste...or something. ;)
