You said it... Iconic it is. 355 is a beautiful car too just does not get the love that 308 and Testarossa do.. You will find a buyer if you change the wheels.

 

Ed, this thread isn't about whether a 308 has the right to follow in the shadow of cars that once cost nothing, but are now unaffordable to many (see Dino prices).

The thread is about your 355 - - and is quite specific in pointing out the prime weaknesses of your presentation. #1 is the wheel color. #2 is the lack of photographs (interior).

And you say you have a set of stock wheels in your shop? Hmmmm .......... So? Also, have the Challenge wheels stripped and powder coated white ........ then , even the wheels will be a "hot ticket".

Good luck - - now change the damn wheels and take more pictures (on a cloudy day)

THIS is it, those Challenge wheels are a highly sought after opton, just not in that color presentation.

Get them back to silver, with original logos, and go from there.

As to the 308 vs. 355 issue, it's the CONSTANT hand wringing over the 355 failure patterns, whether valid or not, that has destroyed the models value.

308 owners worry about sodium valves, the irony there is that I have shattered a header completely open setting the engine compartment ablaze, on my 308.

But you never hear of that, so it's not a black mark against the model.

Two options:

1. Paint the challenge wheels silver.

2. Sell the challenge wheels and put the OEM rims back on.

I don't know if that is going to help sell your car any faster, but you already know how well the current situation is working. Anyway, good luck with the sale.

 

Someone just put up a "want to buy 355 Challenge Wheels" in our other section.

And bcawainright is selling some new 355 Spider floor mats.
Spruce it up and swap out the wheels!
